I'm a RN with 20 years experience mostly in the ER. The nurses I work with think I'm huggable like a big teddy bear. They fail to see the killer side of me. Even when I bring them jerky. I'm a hunter by hobby. Primarily white tail but I do hunt other yummy creatures. I'm a member of PETA (people eating tasty animals). I don't hunt for trophies but I will not turn down a trophy as my wall at home shows. My weapon of choice is the bow and arrow. I do use an assortment of guns during their seasons as well. I've never shot a crossbow but I hear that they are OK.

i don't think i realized you were a bow-hunter. or i had forgotten that.
the black powder is interesting...antiques? can they blow up on you?
I have a Hawken, I use it once in awhile otherwise it's inline all the way, they can blow up if they are not loaded right but if they are loaded correctly there is very little danger of that happening.

Thanks all. As I search around here I've been finding all sorts of interesting areas. I saw LadyCop's note on the follow ups in the blade. I read those comments and her's was impressive. Most of the responders are so illiterate, no common sense. So, when someone makes a comment that shows thought is really nice to see.
Just returned from the hunting stuff and picking on maggot. Poor guy took quite a ribbing. I took 3 deer this year. One with my new bow and 2 with my new OLD 30⁄30 1896 (made in 1950) winchester. Iron sights. I didn't take my shotgun or muzzleloader out this year. I reload my rounds for most of my rifles. My bow is a monster (litterally) by Mathews archery. I tried a new ground blind called a ghost blind. Well worth the money.
