What is the evidence against the 16 year old? Maybe before we sentence him to life, we should make sure he is the guilty party. Innocent until proven guilty?
He looks like a baby. Not that looking innocent makes him innocent by any means.

yes, that is why there will be a trial. the public has not yet been privy to the evidence.
btw, kid is a resident of Oregon.
At the detention hearing, Magistrate Jones entered "denial" pleas for the teen, who is on suicide watch.
The Rodriguez youth is a student in the Oregon Schools Alternative Placement Program. Oregon Superintendent Michael Zalar said the program is for students with "severe behavior problems." He declined to comment on the Rodriguez youth.
Court officials said it appears the Rodriguez youth did not pull the trigger, but he is charged with murder because they believe he was complicit in the robbery, which led to Hunter's death.

oh shit!! i should have put this in the felony stupid thread!!
the blade
woman and her son, armed with a curling iron , robbed a tax preparation business in central Toledo on Thursday.
Toledo police have issued an arrest warrant for Sonia Watson, 41, of 1617 Macomber St., charging her with one count of robbery. Her son, who police believe is in his 20s, is not being charged, said Toledo police Sgt. Joe Heffernan.
Police say Watson and her son went into Liberty Tax Service, 3365 Monroe St., at about 6:55 p.m. Thursday with black cloths over their faces, according to a police incident report. Realizing there were two customers already in the store, the duo sat down in the lobby and pulled down the cloth, showing their faces
After one customer left, the two again covered their faces and Ms. Watson reportedly pointed the curling iron, which was also covered with either a sock or a cloth, at Stephanie Knight, an employee, and demanded money.
The victim told police she at first thought the curling iron was a gun, so she pulled open a drawer to comply with the demand, but closed it and told the suspect she would get no money once the victim realized she was being threatened with a curling iron, the report states.
Watson then told her son to shoot, and when the son started to approach, a customer picked up a chair and hit him, the report states.
After Ms. Knight was hit on the wrist with the curling iron, she picked up a plastic soda bottle and threw it at the suspect, hitting her in the forehead, according to the report.
The suspect was able to get into the cash drawer and took about $280, according to a Toledo police report.
The woman and her son fled on foot from the business.
Ms. Knight was able to identify the suspect because Watson had recently been in the store to have her taxes done by Ms. Knight. DUH
this guy chased them, but they are still not in custody.---->

You have to love the part about the Statue of Liberty chasing after them ! Not only is it hilariously ironic, it is just downright hilarious! Just to make sure I read the Toledo Blah article right.....a guy dressed as a woman and carrying a torch was chasing a woman wielding a curling iron ! You can't make this stuff up!
FYI: Yea, yea, I realize that technically speaking it is said that "Lady Liberty is a male" Lighten up, most people think of the statue as a female and I am just being humorous. Not that you really have to add anything to get a laugh out of this story.

Defensive much?
Why wasn't the son charged? That's bullshit. He was part of the crime duo.

And a woman trying to rob a tax place with a curling iron after she already got her taxes filed there isn't a retard?
Most criminals are tards +1 IQ point.

You asked why he wasn't charged, my guess is simply that he fit the legal definition & she didn't.

I think I've said it elsewhere but except in very extreme cases, I have a hard time with the idea of locking a kid up for life. It seems like there ought to be a middle ground between charging someone as a juvenile or as an adult.

Court documents, filed in Toledo Municipal Court, accuse Mr. Daly of 3956 Plumey Rd. of shooting Hunter. Mr. Daly was arrested Saturday; he is being held in the Lucas County jail in lieu of $1 million bond."
No shit, "severe behavior problems". He is already in a program designed to help him. What else can the public be expected to do about home problems?
Kids don't just turn out that way. I would like to bitch slap his mom.

I don't think that is fair. A crime is a crime is a crime. We shouldn't give anybody a pass to commit crimes.
That's why our justice system is such a mess. Too many loopholes. Either you did it or you didn't.
Bad idea leaving the tard on the street to reproduce.
They should just burn the fuck out of both of them on the forehead with the curing iron. That hurts. It will teach them.

What a local has to say about Rodriquez:
"I know him. He was cute when he was 2. His dad was a wannabe bass player who pretended that he was in LA Guns. There was no authority figure in the house and a more troubled kids next door. I actually expected the folks next door to Jacob to be arrested first. I don't know if he is innocent or guilty in this case, but I remember the chaotic situation that he grew up in. Fights, gunshots, car break ins. This alleged bad act isn't his first bad decision."
The mother should have to do his time. She dropped the ball. Someone has to pay for the death. They ought to let parents stand in for their kids in prison when they do a shitty job raising them.
