cool~
When it was built, it was hailed as one of the finest buildings of its age – only to be destroyed 150 years later. Now Henry VIII’s ‘lost’ palace can be seen for the first time in more than 300 years – in a scale model based on 50 years of research. The replica of Nonsuch Palace – so named because there was no other like it – took 1,250 hours to make. Nonsuch was commissioned in 1538 by Henry VIII to celebrate the birth of his son, the future Edward VI, and outshine his rival, King Francois I of France. The building was so grand that it inspired a foreign visitor to comment: ‘This which no equal has in art or fame, Britons deservedly do Nonsuch name.’ But by 1690 it had been completely dismantled by Charles II’s mistress, who sold its raw materials to pay off her gambling debts. Modeler Ben Taggart spent years poring over illustrations, archaeological evidence, written sources, and artifacts from Nonsuch, including thousands of original stuccos and statues.

she was pretty long ago~this is all bad plastic surgery. They married in a flamboyant ceremony in Seville earlier this month and now newlywed Duchess of Alba and her toyboy husband Alfonso have been spotted celebrating their honeymoon. The 85-year-old’s husband, who is young enough to be her son at the age of 60, was snapped walking arm-in-arm with his billionaire bride. Alfonso took a romantic stroll around Bordeaux, France, with his wife as they enjoyed the warm autumn sunshine and fresh air. Read more: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/art...z1bdTqsdia

Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.

London (CNN) -- Sons and daughters of British monarchs will have an equal right to the throne under changes to the United Kingdom's succession laws agreed to Friday, British Prime Minister David Cameron said. The leaders of the 16 Commonwealth countries that have the queen as head of state approved the changes unanimously at a Commonwealth of Nations summit in Australia, he said. The individual governments of those 16 countries still must agree to the changes for them to take effect. The constitutional changes would mean a first-born girl has precedence over a younger brother. They also mean that a future British monarch would be allowed to marry a Catholic. The laws would apply to any future children of Prince William and Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge, who married this year.
