Hey, don't we have a long weekend in two weeks? I better hit the liquor store!
Shit, I pressed the wrong button............lol You could go to church tomorrow and tell us all about it. WTF?
LOL
I used to dread going to work, especially on Mondays but then we got a new boss that was easy going and actually defended us from upper management (most of the time.) Well, she was on the fast track and recently got promoted and the co-worker that's filling in till they interview for the position has let it go to her head and she's kind of an asshole. I knew it'd happen but everyone was like "oh no, Pat's cool. Don't be so negative." And then the first email in her first week, ragging all of us for one person's mistake, filled with obvious anger and a whole lot of exclamation marks. I really hate business emails with exclamations marks, I think it's a sign of incipient insanity.
So now I dread going into work.

Many people out there let a little bit of authority go straight to their head...My take on that is always the same, they are insecure in some fashion & this "power" makes them feel like "somebody".

I hate to even say this but it's the women mostly that can't handle being in management without letting it go to their heads. I would rather work for a man anyday. Unlike women, men don't get all gossipy and cliquey and play favorites. My boss is such an example and I can't stand her. I try to deal with her a little as possible so I don't have to pretend to like her.
Lumpy, why don't you go for the management job?

I agree with that statement...My boss spent a good 5 yrs. pursuing me, I resisted it the whole time, I didn't want to work for a woman...I knew her socially because Cowboy trained her racehorses & she wanted me to do for her what I do for him, she finally made me an offer I couldn't refuse & I've never looked back with regret, she's wonderful but, I'm not foolish enough to believe that all women would be like her, I just got lucky, that's all.

You better watch out
Retailers are giving the Christmas shopping season an even earlier start, which is eliciting few holiday cheers from consumers. (By Peter Schworm, Globe Staff)

I read that article, jb & had to chuckle all over again when I saw that flying pig in the display...As I was looking at it in the storeI had to wonder who would have such bad taste as to think a pink flying pig would go well with their holiday decor.

I have always enjoyed myChristmasholidays and God and Jebus haven't played a partin any of them.
I am happy worshipping father christmas and his flying reindeer, far more believable than a Jewish zombie who is his own father.

Snow ?...Did someone say snow ?...I LOVE me some snow !...I have snow lust...Woe is me, it rarely snows here & when it does, chances are I can use a broomto sweep it off the walkway.
Snow is fine, it's the resulting ice that's a problem.
