It was not only everyday low prices, but happily ever after.

One couple, who met and fell in love over the counter at Walmart, decided to take their wedding vows on Valentine's day-at their local store.
Wayne and Susan Brandenburg met when she was working as a cashier at the shop, and he was a regular customer. The happy couple tied the knot at their Brunswick County, North Carolina branch of the retail giant, WECT TV reported.

Naked Walmart sock thief stopped by stun gun
Police had to subdue the man with an electric stun gun

2:24 p.m. EST, February 16, 2012
WEST WHITELAND TOWNSHIP, N.J.—
Police said they were forced to use an electric stun gun on a naked 6 foot, 4 inch, nearly 300-pound man after he allegedly stole socks from a Walmart in South Jersey.

The incident unfolded Wednesday about 5:30 p.m. at the Walmart in the Exton section of West Whiteland Township.
Court Preliminary Police said officers responded to the scene and located the suspect, later identified as Verdon Lamont Taylor, inside the store wearing only a pair of socks.

According to police, Taylor refused to comply with commands from the officers and a stun gun had to be used. While in custody, Taylor allegedly spat on the face of one of the officers.

An investigation revealed that the socks Taylor had been wearing were stolen from the store, police said.

Surveillance video of the incident obtained from Walmart showed Taylor exiting a vehicle in the parking lot, removing all of his clothes, walking into the store completely naked and approaching the counter. According to police, that is when Taylor stole the socks, put them on his feet and walked farther into the store.

The video also shows shoppers avoiding Taylor as he walked through the store.

The 32-year-old man, a resident of Downingtown, Pa., was arraigned on charges of indecent exposure, aggravated assault, simple assault, retail theft, receiving stolen property and disorderly conduct, police said.

He was sent to Chester County prison after failing to post $50,000 bail, and he faces a preliminary hearing on March 21.

ZEPHYRHILLS, Fla. —

Police say a Walmart greeter did more than welcome shoppers to a store north of Tampa.

Zephyrhills police say 34-year-old Frederick Leon Gallimore arrived at Walmart with another man on April 16.

The Tampa Bay Times reports that Gallimore clocked in and began his shift. The other man, whose identity is still unknown, went to the electronics section. There he took two LCD screen TVs, valued at $476.

Police say Gallimore left the location where he's supposed to check customer receipts as the man walked toward the exit. They say Gallimore went to the parking lot and helped the man load the TVs in to a van. hah STUPID!

Gallimore was arrested Tuesday on a felony retail theft charge. Jail records did not list an attorney for Gallimore.

LEWISTON, Idaho (AP) -- A man says he reached down to pick up a stick lying in the gardening aisle of a Walmart in eastern Washington state, only to discover that it was a rattlesnake that then bit his hand.

Mica Craig says he was shopping in the outdoor garden department of a Clarkston store when he was bitten Saturday. The 47-year-old man says it latched onto his hand and that he screamed, shook loose the snake and stomped it to death.

The Lewiston Tribune in Idaho reports a bystander drove Craig to an emergency room in nearby Lewiston. Craig says he was treated with six bags of anti-venom and was told that his hand could be permanently disfigured.

well this shoplifter's day was ruined, and so was the loss prevention officer's:

Associated Press

COVINA, Calif. – Police say a suspected shoplifter died at a Southern California Walmart store after a fight with store security workers who caught him in the parking lot.

Covina police Lt. Holly Francisco says when police arrived Friday they found the suspect, who had attempted to steal clothing and body wash, restrained by store security and appearing to need medical help.

Officers called paramedics and the suspect was later pronounced dead at a hospital.

Wal-Mart Stores spokeswoman Dianna Gee says the loss of life is a sad situation but there are many unknowns at this time.

Gee says the security personnel have been suspended pending the outcome of an investigation that will include surveillance video and an autopsy to determine the cause of death. It is not clear why security did not call paramedics.

these thieves weren't disappointed when they assumed clerks in a GA walmart would be dumbasses--->

Walmart loss prevention officers believe the two women sought in connection with a June 9 theft at the Hamilton Mill Walmart are part of a group believed responsible for a series of similar crimes which have taken place along the Eastern seaboard from Virginia to Florida.

Gwinnett County Police were called to the Sardis Church Road store after a manager discovered $841 missing from one of the registers. Loss prevention officers reviewed video surveillance footage and noticed two women making a purchase at the register in question. The video showed one of the women reaching into the cash drawer and removing money on two separate occasions during the transaction. The woman would then return some of the money to the clerk while pocketing the rest.

The clerk was not available for questioning while police were at the scene, but the store manager said the clerk explained that one of the two women had “mentioned something about the bills being very pretty and she wanted to look at them because money was boring looking where she came from.” The clerk indicated both women had Eastern European accents. 2228 According to the manager, the clerk “did not think anything of the incident at first.”

A Walmart loss prevention officer advised that corporate loss prevention had issued a BOLO (Be on the Lookout) for several suspects wanted in connection with similar incidents at other Walmart stores. The loss prevention officer provided police with the name of two suspects listed in the BOLO who are believed to be the same two women responsible for the June 9 theft.

The two women were seen leaving the store parking lot in a silver passenger car accompanied by an older female and a male suspect.

The case is listed as active.
