The feeling I got was itching to shoot. One guy even said said something like "let me shoot".

I grew up during the Vietnam war and hearing the stories of the extreme mental torment the soldiers endured as well as the atrocities committed when they went nuts. I would never want a kid of mine to go to war in any situation where I was not 100% convinced it was only about a direct threat to our country and where I wouldn't feel justified in shooting someone myself. There's only one country we have any business being at war with and that's Mexico.

Nope. It's the only country invading us and it's government has very much been active in that invasion. Mexican troops have crossed deep into US territory, numerous times, and Americans have been killed by Mexicans in border encounters. The Constitution REQUIRES the federal govt to defend any and all States of the union against invasion yet Arizona, especially, has been singled out as an enemy of Washington.

I'm not talking about bombing Mexico City. I'm talking about meeting the invasion where it's happening, in the border region. When that young guy was killed on that lake that borders Texas and Mexico, the US should have taken both sides of that lake, for good.

Fuck Mexico. They don't have good intentions toward the US and they're an aggressor. They're a hell of lot more of threat than any of the threats we're conducting wars against now.
