Holly Bobo, 20, Tenn. missing. & Karen Swift
#41
they are asking for more searchers to come out.

WSMV
Crews have resumed their search for a western Tennessee woman abducted from her home by a man wearing full hunting camouflage.

About 400 volunteers have showed up so far to help look for Holly Bobo, according to witnesses.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has scheduled a 3 p.m. press conference for Saturday afternoon.

Authorities said Friday that searchers have found some items belonging to Bobo, 20.

Searchers found a lunchbox, authorities said Friday, and revealed that her brother saw blood outside of the house, though they haven't confirmed yet whether it belonged to Bobo, who disappeared as she was preparing to go to classes.

i believe it's a person known to them, and they also know the guy has not been home and his vehicle is missing. they are just not saying anything so not to spook him if he is holding her alive.

there will be a presser at 3 central i have heard.

Do you think she's still alive LC?

i also meant to say if there was a car found, it may have been stolen, and not his.
if he's some nutjob who wants to "keep her" she could be still alive. evidently the police think it's possible because they called out everybody in town to search last night, in a very urgent plea. 1000 people showed up! and some searched through the night. so they must think this is a rescue operation. i hope so. but my cynical side says she's likely dead. because of the blood in driveway. i hope to be wrong.

I hope you're wrong too LC, but considering other abduction cases like this. She's probably dead, and has been shortly after her abduction.

you can see i asked about dogs/scent at the very beginning of this thread. now last night on Greta, Mark Fuhrman said the search dog did not hit on the area where the brother, Clint Bobo, said they went into the woods.
i don't like that i have not seen one photo of the brother and evidently his story has changed several times. what is the deal with him? is he some congenital idiot they keep in the house?

again, this could be crappy reporting, but LE made some of the statements.

just watched a "baffle them with bullshit" presser.
in brief:

leave the family alone.
we won't discuss any evidence.
we're looking in other counties and states (!)
won't discuss blood.
won't discuss brother.
now the brother didn't see ANYTHING. HUH?
won't say if credit card used.
won't discuss a damn thing.

urgent presser! called to tell people they are not telling them anything.

i am waiting for 911 calls to be released. if ever.

this could mean nothing, but mom shed no tears in her plea. she could just be cried out.

That doesn't bode well. They're either stupid or covering for a local "boy".

local rumor has it that some of her clothing was found. but i don't rely on rumors. i'm just annoyed LE isn't helping with some facts. i DO understand keeping evidence to themselves for now, but they could at least discount/discredit the rumor-mill. their silence only fuels the gossip.

another concern...there are 1000 people out in the woods looking for a possibly armed and dangerous person, and many of those people are armed. it's a clusterfuck waiting to happen.

PARSONS, Tenn -- In the Wednesday abduction of 20-year-old Holly Bobo, residents of rural Parsons, Tenn., need to look among their own, say officials with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.

TBI spokeswoman Kirsten Helm said citizens should think back to between 7:40 and 8 a.m. Who was wearing camouflage on the morning she was led, presumably by force, into the woods from her parents home on Swan Johnson Road?

"This person may be acting with increased anxiety and stress," Helm said from a command center outside the Decatur County Fairgrounds. "He may have cleaned out a car or ATV, reported one missing or sold one unexpectedly."

More than 1,300 volunteers, many of whom have been present every day of the search, checked in to help comb the area for Bobo.

Authorities drastically widened the search area today to include regions between Interstate 40 and Gooch Road, about 10 miles south, as well as Natchez Trace State Park in neighboring Henderson County and a business district also along I-40.

Helm said authorities decided today not to eliminate anyone from a potential list of suspects, including Bobo's 25-year-old brother, Clint, who was present at the time of the attack, and her boyfriend, both previously ruled out.

"Both her brother and her boyfriend have been nothing but cooperative," Helm said again, "but we can't afford not to keep our minds open. Every detail counts."

The Shelby County Sheriff’s department on Saturday sent four full time officers, including a captain and a lieutenant, and 16 reserve officer/volunteer personnel with search dogs to help in the search. Sheriff William Oldham met with local officials to offer support and whatever services his Department could provide, according to Shelby County Sgt. Mickey Keaton .

the community is outstanding in their efforts.

but i have to question why the authorities don't give these people some straight answers that they deserve and have earned. the stories keep changing. i do understand saying nothing, giving no information about evidence. but to mislead is wrong. it could be crappy reporting that i see in every case, but i think the authorities have contributed to that this time.
one contradiction after another.

Something stinks bout the brother! If I saw my sister with a man in camo walking to or at the edge of woods at that time of morning and knowing she was supposed to leave for work it wouldn't take my nosey ass two seconds to fling a window open and shout at her or run after her! To my knowledge there has been no vehicle tracks/car/atv found in which to carry her away in, no scent where the bro says he saw them. I dunno! He hasn't come forward or done anything to my satisfacton yet! He may not be guilty but he's doing a good job at making himself look like the bad guy!
