The 14-year-old has been charged for assault as a juvenile; the 18-year-old will be charged as an adult.
The State’s Attorney’s office is investigating whether the attack was racially or gender motivated to determine if other charges will result.
sorry to quote myself. here is the beating victim. the guy was fired.
The victim of a sustained attack in a Baltimore County McDonald's has spoken for the first time about the beating she received, and how nobody came to her aid.
Chrissy Lee Polis, a 22-year-old transgender woman, said she was afraid to go outside after the attack, and hinted that it might have been racially motivated - as both of her attackers were black.
She said: 'They just hurt me really bad, and I'm afraid to go outside now because of stuff like this.'
She said the violence kicked off after she had used the ladies restrooms in the McDonald's outlet, but denied reports that this was the reason why the violence erupted.
She said of her attackers: 'They just seemed like they wanted to pick a fight that night.'
She said she was approached by one of the girls, who accused her of 'looking at my man'.
When Miss Polis insisted that she was not even aware of the girl's partner, the physical abuse began with the girl spitting in her face.
She said: 'She started ripping my hair, throwing me on the floor, kicking me in my face.
'I got up and tried to hit the girl. I had her in a corner, to try to get her off me, and the other girl came up and started kicking me in my face, punching me in my nose, rippping my earring out of my earlobes.'
Miss Polis said there was no way to escape the attack, adding: ' Every time I tried to walk away they followed me.'
And, in what will cause major embarrassment to McDonald's and its 'family restaurant' image, Miss Polis said staff not only allowed the abuse to continue, one employee - identified as Vernon Hackett from images and comment he put online - filmed the incident.
A Plymouth couple and their two dogs died Monday night, and it appears that the man took his own life using a power saw, according to police and the district attorney’s office.
Family members asked police to check on the couple, who lived at 7 Farmhurst Road in Plymouth. When officers arrived at about 10 p.m. Monday, they found the man standing in the living room, according to a statement from Plymouth District Attorney Timothy J. Cruz.
The man then picked up the circular saw and cut one of his legs, the release said.
At that point, officers forced their way into the couple’s house, provided him with first aid, and did a “cursory search of the home,” prosecutors said. That’s when they found a deceased woman and two dead dogs, officials said.
Paramedics rushed the man to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. Officials are withholding the couple’s identity pending next of kin notification.
An autopsy will be performed to determine the cause and manner of death on both of the deceased. The investigation continues.

Not even hot fries and McFlurries are worth that. Seriously, that is so scary. No wonder people don't want to get involved when they see craziness going on - too many freaks out there that will kill you over nothing. This black lady got all up in my face a few months ago because my daughter cut in front of her at the salad bar at Ruby Tuesday. I am not normally the back-down type if I am angry but this lady scared me - she went batshit because my daughter stepped in front of her to grab some crackers.

"Atwater spent several weeks out of state, working in another nuclear power plant. About one month before the killings, he sent his 20-year-old friend a text message stating "he wanted Dawn to be happy and that he couldn't make her happy at the moment and that he wanted me to go over and sleep with her," the man told investigators."
This part makes no sense to me, not that any part of this case makes sense.
This just seems totally crazy to me! I mean I know some people are into that kind of stuff, but if he loved his wife sooo much and she was everything to him, I can't see him being ok with letting her sleep with someone else, let alone a friend!
A defense lawyer for one of the teens arrested for the murder of a 15-year-old boy intends to ask a judge to restrict the public and press from court proceedings, seal records related to the case, and gag all parties from discussing the case in public due to "intense media scrutiny" that he feels compromises his client's right to a fair trial.
In a motion dated Tuesday, a copy of which was delivered to the Star-Banner, Melbourne-based attorney Jonathan F. Bull claims his client, Charlie K. Ely, is being "crucified in the national media by irresponsible hate mongering demagogues with vitriolic opinion and rank speculation about other bad acts that are completely irrelevant to the case."
i'm not surprised. Florida was my jurisdiction, and they WILL try them as adults. it will be greatly deserved. the juveniles cannot be sentenced to death, even tried as adults, but can get LWOP. Florida does not fuck around.
This is disgusting! How can people do this to their own children?!!
The body of a young child has been discovered buried under a home where a six-year-old girl was kept in a cage and almost starved to death.
Police made the grisly discovery of the child's remains while they questioned a couple about the alleged abuse of their daughter.
Brian and Shannon Gore are accused of keeping the girl in shocking conditions and virtually starving her to death.
the mother didn't want her kids. she left them with an evil convicted felon. the schools didn't miss him.
Daily Mail
The body of a 13-year-old boy, who was buried in a shallow grave and covered with concrete allegedly by his father has been unearthed by authorities.
Christian Choate, from Gary, Indiana, died in the spring of 2009 but unbelievably was not missed until Sunday night when his biological mother raised the alarm.
The mother told Lake County police she had found out from relatives that her son was buried in the Black Oak mobile home park in Gary.
She had handed Christian and a sister over to their biological father, Riley Lowell Choate, in 2005 because she didn't want to raise them, she added.
Choate, 39, who has a criminal history that includes battery, harassment and car theft, has so far been charged with the removal of a body from a death scene, failure to notify authorities of a death and failure to report a body to authorities.
Lake County Sheriff John Buncich said the charges were likely to be increased if an autopsy ruled the boy was murdered.
The initial results showed Christian suffered a 'blunt force trauma to his body with internal bleeding and a skull fracture,' according to court records.
Choate’s wife and Christian's stepmother is also in custody, Sheriff Buncich said, after the boy's sister told police she had helped Choate bury the boy.
Christian's sister, who has not been named, told police she had discovered her brother's lifeless body at their home in 2009, according to the Chicago Tribune.
She ran to her stepmother and was told to try to revive him. It didn't work. Christian was dead.
She then allegedly watched her father and stepmother wrap Christian's body in two plastic garbage bags, place him in a plastic bin and drive off with him in their van, Sheriff Buncich said.
The couple then returned covered in mud. The stepmother told the girl they had covered Christian 'in concrete so he couldn't get out,' according to authorities.
'This is a human being that just disappeared off the face of this earth,' Sheriff Buncich said in a news conference today.
'Someone should have said something. When it's a child, it just hits home. To be thrown away and buried like trash. No one should have that fate,' he added.
He also admitted that if the sheriff's office had never been tipped off, Christian may never have been found.
'He just fell through the cracks, unfortunately,' the sheriff said. 'How can a child just disappear and no one follow up?'
Police started to search for Christian on Monday using cadaver dogs, but found nothing.
On Wednesday, after questioning several family members, they caught up with Choate, the boy's father, who was taken in for questioning.
Choate admitted burying Christian in April 2009, Sheriff Buncich said.
He had told police: 'If I had to do it over, I'd have just called (police). But I was freaking out,' according to authorities.
However Choate claimed that it had been his daughter, not his wife, who had helped him bury Christian.
Christian's sister, now 17, is thought to have fled to Kentucky to live with other relatives after her brother disappeared, her relatives told the Chicago Tribune.
Choate then took police to the exact spot where he had buried the boy, saying he had wrapped his body in a blanket, put a bible on his chest and buried him. He then covered the grave with concrete, authorities said.
They then found Christian's badly decomposed body buried around two feet underground.
Choate had told neighbours Christian had run away, but he had not reported him missing, the sheriff said.
Alyssa Nieto, 18, who told the Tribune she was Christian's half-sister, said she couldn't understand why Choate had been given custody of the children in the first place.
'He's a convicted felon and he got custody. How could they give kids to a murderer? I'm happy he's arrested. He should be put away,' she said.
The other children who had been living with Choate and his wife have been taken into custody by the Indiana Department of Child Services.
2 juvies charged in teen's murder are under close watch
Today's teenagers seem to crave constant contact with friends and often family members. But two local teens living under one roof might as well be in different cities.
Amber Wright, left, and Kyle Hooper Although Amber Wright and her brother Kyle Hooper are in the same building at the Marion County Sheriff's Office Detention Center, they have no contact with each other.
Both are on suicide watch, meaning jail officials believe they might try to harm themselves. For security purposes, they each have a corrections officer watching their every move, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
On Wednesday, Kyle, 16, and Amber, 15, were two of the five people indicted by a grand jury for the April 17 slaying of 15-year-old Seath Jackson. The two juveniles each will be tried as adults on charges of first-degree murder.
Since their arrest April 19, Kyle and Amber have been in the detention center, a facility for juveniles within the sprawling Sheriff's Office complex. It is separate from the regular jail, which is for adults. Following Wednesday's indictment, they were transferred within that same facility to an area reserved for juveniles being charged as adults.
Sgt. K. Savarese, sector commander for the facility, said Kyle's bed is next to the control center window, separated by Plexiglas.
Across a hallway, Amber is housed in an area for girls, but is separated from the only other female inmate by a section of chainlink fence.
During each shift, one officer is assigned to Kyle and one to Amber. The officials must be within five feet of the juveniles "at all times," Savarese said.
While the teenagers sleep, a chair is placed next to each bed and an officer keeps a close watch over them, even then.
Savarese said the reasons behind the tight security are the nature of the charges, the high-profile nature of the case, their status on suicide watch, and general safety issues.
On a typical day, Amber, Kyle and the other 13 juvenile inmates — 12 boys and a girl — wake at 6 a.m. for head count. They eat, make their beds and shower.
All attend school from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. The boys take classes in one room with a teacher; the two girls have their classes in a separate room with their teacher.
In between classes, the inmates eat lunch, relax and are allowed bathroom breaks. After school, they are allowed to go to the recreation yard, and then come in for dinner. Sometimes programs are planned in the evenings, such as counseling or faith-based meetings.
If there are no programs — and provided they have earned enough points through a behavioral management system — the juveniles can watch a movie, make a free phone call or listen to the radio.
They earn points by participating in class, keeping their area clean and showing respect to peers and corrections officials. Savarese said they might compile enough points in a three-day period to earn one privilege.
He said since Kyle and Amber have been in the center, they have been "well behaved" and have earned some privileges.
The juveniles are allowed visitors by appointment for 30-minute meetings by video or contact, meaning they can be in the same room with the visitor.
Savarese said Kyle and Amber have had video visitations.
During his first official court appearance since his arrest, Michael Bargo waived his right to a speedy trial Monday in connection with the killing of Belleview teen Seath Jackson.
The State Attorney's Office told the judge it had not yet decided whether to seek the death penalty against Bargo, 19.
Prosecutor Amy Berndt said she would tell the court her office's decision by the next status hearing, scheduled for July 6.
"We just want to make sure we reviewed all the evidence," Berndt said after the hearing. "It's obviously a serious matter and we want to make sure we take our time."
Shackled and wearing a red-and-white striped jail uniform, the stoic-faced Bargo sat beside his attorney, Charles Holloman.
Bargo, along with four others ranging in age from 15 to 20, is charged with first-degree murder in connection with Jackson's death in April.
A sixth person, James Havens III, 37, is charged with accessory after the fact to first-degree murder and is currently free
* Steven Lake shot dead wife, son and daughter at home
* Court order banned him from contact with her and kids

An estranged husband tragically shot to death his estranged wife and their two children before turning the gun on himself.
Steven Lake, 37, went to the home of estranged wife Amy Lake, 38, in Dexter, Maine, killed her and shot son, Coty, 13, and daughter Monica, 12.
The killings were all the more tragic because Mrs Lake took court action to protect herself and her colleagues knew about the situation.

‘It is frustrating when someone has taken the appropriate steps and we still end up with a despicable act of domestic violence,’ a public safety spokesman said.
Lake was frustrated by a custody dispute and upset at having to miss Coty’s eighth-grade graduation on Friday, a relative said.
The background
He had been charged last year with holding his wife and children hostage at gunpoint in the town of Wellington, where he most recently lived.
It happened almost exactly a year before Monday's incident.
Lake kept a holstered 9mm handgun on the headboard of his bed, a prosecutor said.
He had also threatened to take a knife to his wife and do things 'you wouldn't do to farm animals', District Attorney Christopher Almy revealed.
He did not think much could have been done differently as there was a protection and bail order in place.
Mrs Lake was afraid her husband would kill her and their kids before going after someone else - and she wouldn't be able to warn anyone.
Lake was free on bail, pending an upcoming trial.
A protection from abuse order had been issued against him barring contact with his family.
Mrs Lake was in the process of divorcing him and police drove by every day to check on her, neighbors and relatives said.
The killing
A policeman went to check on her on Monday morning after she did not arrive at work and a colleague spotted Lake’s car in her driveway.
The officer heard multiple gunshots outside the house and called for help, before several sheriff departments surrounded the house.
Police do not know when Lake turned up but believe any plan he had was interrupted when the officer arrived - and that's when the killings occurred.
‘Negotiators from state police tried in vain for over two hours to contact Lake, by phone and public address system,’ a police spokesman said.
Crime scene: A policeman went to check on Mrs Lake at her house after she did not arrive at work and a colleague spotted Lake's car in her driveway
Six hours after the first officer arrived, a state police armoured vehicle with a battering ram moved in and officers found the bodies in the living room.
‘It is frustrating when someone has taken the appropriate steps and we still end up with a despicable act of domestic violence.
Some of the victims had been shot multiple times - and he had poured a flammable liquid around the home but it failed to ignite, officials said.
The reaction
David Vautier's next-door neighbours are Amy Lake's parents, Ralph and Linda Bagley, who lost their daughter and two grand-children on Monday.
'Everyone knew Steve was going to flip out,' he told the Bangor Daily News. 'Everyone knew something bad was going to happen.'
Three young defendants charged in the April murder of 15-year-old Seath Jackson, of Belleview, have waived their rights to a speedy trial.
Amber Wright, 15, Kyle Hooper, 16, and Justin Soto, 20, appeared in court Monday briefly for a status hearing. They are among five defendants charged with first-degree murder in the case.
Soto, who is being represented by 5th Circuit Chief Assistant Public Defender Bill Miller, could face the death penalty if convicted as charged.
Assistant State Attorney Amy Berndt told Circuit Judge David Eddy that she’ll know by the end of July whether the state will seek the death penalty against Soto. Early next month, the State Attorney’s Office is expected to decide whether it will seek death for another co-defendant, alleged ringleader Michael Bargo, 19.
By law, the juveniles cannot face the death penalty.
Seath Jackson was beaten, shot repeatedly and tortured. His body was tossed in a burn pit outside a Summerfield house owned by another co-defendant, 18-year-old Charlie Kay Ely.
