i think it's only 60 miles from home to Conway. nobody talked to her that we know of since the night before. so anything could have happened in the interim /en route. is that where the 2nd car comes in?

well this adds another element to the story. no wonder the family wouldn't mention the baby daddy. yep, they're not together, because he's in prison.

Conway Daily Sun
CONWAY — The father of Krista Dittmeyer’s baby has not been ruled out as a suspect in her disappearance, but police know he wasn’t in Conway. He is currently serving a four-year prison sentence in Maine for selling drugs.

Police were unwilling to comment on whether Dittmeyer’s disappearance is drug-related.

Her infant’s father, Kyle Acker, 26, of Portland, was arrested in July of last year for two counts of aggravated trafficking of scheduled drugs. He pleaded guilty in November to one count of trafficking in scheduled drugs, possession with intent to distribute. He was sentenced in January to four years in the State Prison in Warren, Maine, where he is now.

Documents from the Cumberland County Sheriff Department from as recent as four months ago list Acker’s home address as 80 Tamara Lane in Portland, Dittmeyer’s address.

Acker attended Kennett High and was the son of a former Kennett teacher, the late Bruce Acker. His photograph was in the 2001 Kennett yearbook, and he was listed as a member of the Class of 2003, but his photo did not appear in the 2003 yearbook.

Dittmeyer’s family has avoided questions about the baby’s father, and police have been unwilling to make a statement about Dittmeyer’s personal life. The police were again unwilling to discuss Acker when asked about him directly, and Dittmeyer’s family did not return a call for comment.

The police have not ruled Acker out as a suspect, Lt. Chris Perley said at a press conference Tuesday without mentioning him by name. “The only commentary we have said about the father of the child is that we know for certain he was not in Conway on the 23rd or the 22nd.”

odd that at first it was reported she was "scared" of someone, now mom says no, she wasn't. a little conflicting info there. mom is very cold in my opinion. she knows much more.

BOSTON -- Crews in New Hampshire have cordoned off a snowmaking pond at a White Mountains ski resort in connection with the disappearance of Krista Dittmeyer, the Maine woman whose baby daughter was found abandoned in a car near this the weekend.

Dittmeyer's car was found running with its hazard lights flashing in a parking lot near the Cranmore Mountain ski resort early Saturday.

Her 1-year-old daughter was in the car, unharmed.

The pond is located about a quarter-mile away from where Dittmeyer's car was found. Police have not said if they found anything at the pond, but police tape has been set up around the area.

Dittmeyer's sister, Kayla Dittmeyer, said she believes Krista persuaded the person who forced her from her vehicle to leave the child behind.

this is unusual.

CONWAY, N.H. (AP) — New Hampshire investigators have canceled an afternoon press conference on a missing Maine woman and are referring all inquiries to the Attorney General's Office.

Assistant Attorney General Jane Young, who is in charge of the investigation, did not immediately return calls for comment.

What a horrible shame! Thank God her baby is okay...doesn't sound like it was baby daddy but some crazy...her grandmother said she was scared of someone didn't she?

I read somewhere that her Face Book account said she was getting weird
phone calls.

Has anyone heard if she left the night before or the morning she was
considered missing? And how did someone know she was missing at 6 30AM?
I did listen to several news casts but none in my city addressed those topics.

her room-mates said she left the night before.
last anyone talked to her was her mom at 8:30 PM.

and her car was found running with the baby alone in it at 0630 so that's when it was discovered she was missing. have you read any of this thread?? Smiley_emoticons_razz hah 37

Almost like she knew what was going to happen. If that baby could talk!

some of my random thoughts. someone wanted her dead, but the baby untouched. baby-daddy in prison. supposedly they were on good terms.
but i think this was someone who knew her.

we still don't know who owns 2nd car that was seized, and why. but LE does.

was she meeting someone for some purpose?

her family may want to get custody of the baby, but the father has parental rights. a con and drug-dealer. going to be a fight coming.

much will be evident when there is an arrest.
