One thing I've noticed about you liberal Euros is that you dance around questions that go against your personal beliefs. Take the death penalty for example..I'd wager you're against it (although I could be wrong) like most other Euros. You all think of it as "nothing but revenge". I've had these type of discussions with a lot of Brits/Euros on other boards, and when I make it more personal like "Suppose you walked into your tiny little shithole/flat that you refer to as home, and caught some bloke raping your wife, or daughter...would you not make sure that motherfucker ever saw the light of day again, and mete out your own form of death penalty?

All of them say yes. So I ask, well then, what's the difference between that, and the state/government doing it? And of course, just like the way you "answered", the backstroking begins saying it's a hypothetical situation.

So, I'll give you one more chance fucknugget...Assuming you have loved ones, and they were in emanate danger, would you not agree to waterboarding..or hell..even physical torture being applied to a person that had information that would save their lives?

I support the death penalty not because I support state sponsored murder and revenge but because it is the only way of 100% guaranteeing that the most dangerous offenders won't ever be able to re-offend.

Offenders DO still sometimes escape from maximum security prisons, plus I don't see why the taxpayer should pay for 40 years bed and board for a murdering or child molesting piece of shit.

The death penalty shouldn't be a costly long and drawn out legal mess, it should be swift and good value for money. The cost of a rope and a gallows.

Agreed (for once) on the death penalty thing being a long, drawn-out process..that usually ends up costing the taxpayers 100's of 1000's of dollars through the appeals process. That's one thing I admire about some countries that we consider "barbaric"...you're sentenced to death..execution is carried out immediately.
