I had my gallbladder removed and never had a problem with weight gain, but unfortunately one of the side effects I did get was excruciating pain in my chest if I drink certain types of liquor or take pain medication.
Yeh there are all sorts of adverse reactions to the procedure. I had mine out before the internet, I recommended to my sister to look for alternatives. Because of the weight gain, but she is so thin she didnt care. She just wanted to be out of pain.
Your gallbladder is there because we need it. It does affect the way our food is processed. I hope one day there will be advanced in technology that they can take the stones out and keep the gallbladder there.
There are forums now usually based in US about putting on weight. I am also kind of always battling weight issues. But the lap band has been so so successful, mininum food intake and an airwalker that I hang my clothes on.

Does not sound appealing. There is a restaurant here that advertises deep fried Twinkies. Great...lets take something that is already awful and make it worse.
I wasn't always overweight, that pic is before the gallbladder was taken out. if it bothers you i will take it down.
I am not fat at all now either but like most women I am insecure about my weight and you can never be thin enough. I am just saying if there was an alternative way back then I would have taken it.
It's like a sex change a piece of your anatomy is taken away and the gall bladder gone, you will definately absorb more fat witch will impact your organs and vital signs eventually its inevitable. More fat in the blood stream the smaller the arteries and loads of fat around the heart can contribute to a myocardial infarction.

I don't believe that. I think you just eat like shit and use your gall bladder as an excuse.

Basically this is like eating a KFC chicken meal, then throwing it back up into a bowl, then eating it again.
Mashed potato, corn, fried chicken pieces, gravy, and a three cheese blend, all together in one pile of gloop.
I'm with the British sissy-dope on this one. Not only is the fat content ridiculous, but the sodium content is off the charts. I am sure there are loads of bonus unhealthy chemicals within that processed hell. That is the kind of thing you eat because you don't give a fuck about your health or are too ignorant to care. I hate you, bowl.
and in case that wasnt enough...heres another :(
The shit is sooo salty its ridiculous to try and eat.
You get halfway through, and the too much fat, stomach ache starts.
If thats not enough, you take the last bite, and within 5 minutes,
you are in a food coma of unreal proportions.

Hmmmmmm.....you get a snippet of information about someone then make up all the rest yourself and post it as the truth........
Ok fine, the removal of her gallbladder caused her to blow up like a fucking balloon and need a lapband despite the fact that she was eating a healthy diet. Nevermind that thousands of other people have their gall bladder removed and don't have that problem, not unless they're stuffing their fat face with garbage that is.
A lapband is a procedure to shrink your stomach by the way. That right there says her problem is overeating, and I bet it wasn't broiled fish and broccoli.
It's only an aid, you still have to eat healthy and exercise, which I do at work. Also, I did consume the full sugar coke I have stopped that altogether. I don't have excess skin and all that shit I just looked heavier. You have to work with it and with the physician post surgery.
Also, I studied the gall bladder at a tertiary level, I have seen one in the laboratory when we were examining body parts of cadavers etc.
sally/username anyone else, if you want me to take the photo down I will. I was using it as a reference point a pic close to the time when I had the operation. I feel a bit ridiculed I didn't have to share this but you have got me sounding like John Candy.
I KNEW I was taking a risk posting that photo. I put it up to explain about the gall bladder and then it turned into a personal attack on me. I thought I could trust.

As I type this, you have 652 posts and you STILL don't understand the concept of Mock. Jesus.
