Keep poking the bear. Don't be surprised when they bite back.
"In highly volatile or dangerous situations, a LEO's authority to require compliance is much higher than in non-threatening contexts. The Supreme Court has ruled (with Terry v. Ohio being one of the primary cases) that the police are allowed to protect themselves from potentially dangerous people or situations. Under the umbrella of "concern for safety" or "search for weapons" the police have wide latitude to do what they want and to order citizens to comply with their demands.
The Terry v. Ohio case created the "weapons search", "terry search", or "terry pat" exception to the 4th Amendment 'probable cause requirement' for searches. The court ruled that if a police officer "[has] reasonable cause to believe that [someone] might be armed" they can require they submit to a quick patdown. What this has meant is that it is now standard practice to pat down anyone that a LEO wants to, without the need for arrest, probable cause, or even suspicion of a crime.
Many police use weapons pats as a way to intimidate and harass citizens, since it is a power the courts have allowed them to use with little justification. Often a LEO will find something during their patdown which is clearly not a weapon which they would like to see, but this is beyond their Court-approved authority ( see below ).
Also under the 'concern for safety' umbrella, police are given wide latitude by courts to ask individuals to comply with simple non-intrusive commands such as "stand over there" or "wait here for a moment", but the line between order and request becomes very fuzzy when an officer starts telling people where to go unless the situation is volatile / dangerous. There are many stories of two (or more) individuals confronted by police whom the police intentionally separate to try to intimidate or to compare stories. This is generally a 'fishing' maneuver which would not fall under the 'concern for safety' umbrella."
All Americans should know their rights and where their personal rights end. Arresting a black man is dangerous. I didn't make it that way and the police didn't make it that way. Black men did. Then they want to fucking bitch about. Grow the fuck America. If you act right, you get a LOT more respect.
Stupid bitches are stupid bitches. Even when they make the news and other stupid bitches agree with them. It doesn't make it right. It is just more bullshit piled atop more bullshit.
Just sayin'.

If the bear gets "bit" enough times because he's doing something stupid..then even he is smart enough to learn his lesson.

She should have gone in the house when told to do so. But I don't think she should have been arrested. Yes, cops are arrogant. But they also put their lives on the line everyday for us. A routine traffic stop can turn into that officer being shot and killed by some idiot. Get your ass in the house and let the officer do his job. Film through the window if you feel you have to record what is going on.
Don't most patrol cars have cameras in them these days anyway?

Sorry a traffic stop is not a crime scene, the officer had no jurisdiction over other people just the ones in the car, He over stepped his bounds in ordering citizens into their houses.
I know what I'm talking about I was watched to many times to count when doing traffic stops, people would pull over and watch to see what's going on, it always boils down to the same thing, the only ones who are detained and controlled by the officer are the ones in the car that was stopped.
I mention crime scene because that brings up a special set of circumstances that allows an officer to keep people back and away from the scene usually with a tape that sets the limits, but he still has no authority to make them go home or in their houses if they want to stand at the tape and watch it's their right in a free society.
It's an irritation to me to see people turned into sheeple and feel like they have to do everything that they are told, it will be the ruination of this country if it continues.

I believe the question was raised in post #24. "How does the video taping of this event prove racial profiling?"
The alleged profiling would have occured before the stop. In fact, it would be the basis FOR the stop.
The video was recording events after the stop.
"Sensational" video garners attention . . . the public's AND to the videographer. Sometimes financial rewards.
Her reason for being there with a camera was strictly for "possible" personal rewards. Spotlight or cash.
Let's cut the bullshit. She was as genuinely concerned about possible "racial profiling" as I am about getting prostate cancer.

Paparazzi make money everyday the same way, we live in a capitalist country, there is nothing illegal about making money from video or pictures if you can make it happen.

You've proven my point and . . . and . . . well . . . suggest she is a just a damned liar.
It wasn't to record social injustice or promote civil liberty.
It was a "for profit" venture. Cash or self-promotion. And guess what? She DID get her fifteen minutes.
Bitch lied about profiling.
BTW - Paparazzi usually make their money by photographing celebs. Was this black guy a celeb?

You have limited the scope of the paparazzi in your own mind, they would take a photo of anything that will make them a buck, stay away from the enquirer rag for a few days and clean up your system.
The simple fact is it's not illegal to video cops.
simple isn't it?

Hey, dumbass . . .
What part of "usually" didn't you understand?
Again . . . I never stated it wasn't legal to photograph cops.
I stated she wasn't photographing to document racial profiling.
You really can't be this big of a retard when it comes to comprehending simple and basic statements.
Please . . . don't let me distract you from your "individual rights" diatribes.
Just don't link my posts to either side of that argument . . . as I have not expressed an opinion on the subject.

Ok, so on the other hand. Do you think this woman should have been arrested? These police officers were very patient. I think she should have been arrested, seems like harassment.

If she'd been driving, she'd be going to jail for DWI. Her husband sure didn't resist being escorted away from his lovely woman.
I think she should have been arrested for indecent exposure. Crazy nasty bitch.

That woman is as close to a chicken as a woman gets.
Not everybody should wear a bikini, especially if you are all dried up and skranky. There is skinny good and there is skinny bad...

Yep, they got into the accident because they were acting that way, not the other way around.
They were both shit-faced, but hubby seems like a nicer drunk. And, probably has a nicer ass.

Good Lord..the wench reminds me of my 2 nd wife. Bitch could flat out not handle her alcohol.
Anyhoo...arrested? Yeah...D&D for sure. But, with that being said, if I was the cop(s), I certainly wouldnt have wanted to listen to that screeching bird in the back of my squad car while I was taking her to jail. I woulda got more satisfaction leaving the bitch on the side of the highway and letting her find her own way home.
