what do you think? is jackson responsible for his own death or does murray bear some of the blame for being an irresponsible quack?

Los Angeles (CNN) -- The doctor charged with causing Michael Jackson's death returns to a Los Angeles courtroom for a pre-trial hearing Tuesday, just two days before lawyers begin choosing his jury.
Dr. Conrad Murray's lawyers are waiting for a response to an emergency petition asking an appeals court to delay the trial so the decision not to sequester the jury can be reconsidered.
While it is unclear when the appeals court may respond, Murray and his lawyers will attend a hearing to deal with issues remaining before hundreds of potential jurors assemble for the jury selection process starting Thursday.

As a medical health professional he definately breached his code of ethics in his practice and there are consequences, he will be unable to practice ever again.
When my patients have ECT they have propofol and succinalcholine (I have gone up to day surgery and watched them in progress, also, getting handed over when collecting them). You should see all the monitors and staff that are present when those drugs are administered. Also, it is administered by a qualified anaesthetist, NOT a GP. For God's sake!
We have a scope of practice that we are able to practice in. Part of practicing safely is knowing your limitations and what your scope is. Breaching that leads to serious consequences.
An unauthorised drug administration causing death, he has to pay for it. He is the health professional he is the one responsible for safe practice. Not the patient. Otherwise you would have patients lined up asking for all kinds of drugs.

"Dr. Conrad Murray" seems like a misnomer. He does not deserve that title, as any self respecting "Dr." would not have behaved as irresponsibly as he did! His license should be forfeited, he should be severely fined, and he must get extensive jail time, no probation!
If I were on his jury, he would be toast!

Everyone is on this guys ass, WTF? The only thing I see he is guilty of is not being smart enough to cover his tracks. Golf Clap I say, he took out a pedophile. I don't think this guy is a predator of any kind, sycophant definately, idiot definately, Danger to the public? I don't think so. I think MJs drug seeking behaviour got him in contact with this dude with the help of people in his "Entourage". Thats what got him killed, he had the help of a Lot of people around him, not just this guy. For decades MJ had people around telling him "Its ok Michael, your an artest, be as weird as you want to be"
Don't get me wrong, MJ had tallent, to bad it was so wasted on those around him.

Did anybody catch the snipit of audio recording of MJ that the prosecution just played during their opening statement? MJ is speaking and he is almost inaudible/incoherent. You can barely tell that it is him. He sounds totally fucked up on something or another. The prosecution is trying to show that despite MJ's incoherance, the Doc ordered more drugs for him.

Creepy photo! I was just thinking how the whole thing is creepy and spooky to me and it goes right along with the Halloween theme. MJ was always mysterious and creepy to me...a spooky caricature!

Interesting (and not terribly surprising), the defense is claiming MJ self-administered the prophynol and 8 benzos during the night (or morning) he died.
