FOREST PARK, Ga. - A Levi's Call has been issued for four Hispanic children who were allegedly abducted by their father. They say the children were last seen Monday night in Forest Park, and they are believed to be in extreme danger.

Authorities say they were called to the Sheraton House Apartments on Rock Cut Road around 8:15 p.m. on Monday night. The children’s mother, Miriam Rivera, told police that her ex-boyfriend, Francisco Madrigal, had taken their four children without her consent.

The children are 6-year-old Geneicy Madrigal, 9-year-old Michael Allen Madrigal, 10-year-old Francisco Benjamin Madrigal, and 12-year-old Jose Javier Madrigal.

Francisco Madrigal was seen with the children at Willow Park Apartments, located in the 1400 block of Rock Cut Road. According to police, he may be driving a brown Chevy Tahoe with a Georgia or Indiana license plate.

Francisco Madrigal is 36 years old and has dark hair. He is about 5’4” tall and weighs about 130 pounds. He has tattoos on his right hand (a scorpion), his chest (“Miriam”, and his upper arm (a rose).

Authorities say Madrigal and the children’s mother were never married. They say recent domestic issues reportedly sparked the kidnapping. They also say Francisco has exhibited violent behavior in the past, and for that reason the children are considered to be in danger.

Madrigal is believed to be traveling with his sister, Else Madrigal.

Anyone who has any information on the whereabouts of these children or the brown Chevy Tahoe with either a Georgia or Indiana license plate is asked to contact the Forest Park Police Department at 404-608-2366, or call 911 immediately.

Four children from Forest Park who vanished with their biological father are believed to be in “extreme danger,” the Georgia Bureau of Investigation said Tuesday as it activated a Levi’s call for the youngsters.

Forest Park police said “recent domestic-related issues” between the father, Francisco Madrigal, 36, and his former girlfriend and the children’s mother, Miriam Rivera, may have led to the kidnapping.

Police identified the children as Geneicey Madrigal, 6; Michael Allen Madrigal, 10; Francisco Benjamin Madrigal, 10, and Jose Javier Madrigal, 12.

The investigation began shortly after 8 p.m. Monday when Forest Park officers were dispatched to the 1400 block of Rock Cut Road in the Sheraton House Apartments, police said. There, Rivera told officers that her ex-boyfriend had taken her four children without her consent.

The suspect had been seen with the youngsters at the Willow Park Apartments nearby and may be driving a brown Chevrolet Tahoe or red Ford Focus with an unknown Indiana license plate, or a white Ford Explorer.

Francisco Madrigal was described as about 5 feet 4 inches tall, weighing 130 pounds, with dark hair and tattoos: A scorpion on his right hand, the name “Miriam” on his chest and a rose on his upper left arm.

“Francisco has exhibited some violent behavior in the past, therefore the children are considered to be in danger,” police said.

his sister was reached by cell phone and says she is NOT with him and the kids. she also says he would never hurt them, that the police are wrong about them being endangered. she may be credible since she is returning from Texas to meet with GA police.

i bet we don't hear another thing about this since they are probably into mexico by now.


Family members told Channel 2 the father and children could be headed to Texas, Indiana, Tennessee or Detroit.

FOREST PARK, Ga. -- The mother of four children missing from Forest Park tells 11Alive News she's not sure if their father would hurt them.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation issued a Levi's Call for 12-year-old Jose Javier Madrigal, 10-year-old Francisco Benjamin Madrigal, 9-year-old Michael Allen Madrigal and 6-year-old Geneicey Madrigal on Tuesday.

They are believed to in the company of their father, 34-year-old Francisco Madrigal. They children were last seen at about 8:15 p.m Monday in the 1400 block of Rock Cut Road in Forest Park.

Forest Park Police Major Chris Matson said a recent domestic issue reportedly sparked the kidnapping.

Police said Francisco has shown some violent behavior in the past, and as a result, the children are considered to be in danger.

11Alive's Blayne Alexander spoke with the children's mother, Miriam Rivera, on Wednesday.

Rivera said she talked to one of her kids by phone on Tuesday and believes they are OK.

However, when asked if she thought their father would ever harm them, Rivera said, "I don't know. Maybe."

She and Madrigal never married.

Meanwhile, Madrigal's sister Elsa believes her brother took the children because they were left home alone. She told 11Alive News that the whole thing is a result of both parents over reacting.

"My brother is not a bad person," she said. "He has a bad temper sometimes, yes. But he's not a bad person. He would not hurt his kids. He loves his kids and his kids love him to death, too."
