Randall is reported to be non-verbal.
An all-out search is underway in Washington County for a missing 7-year-old autistic boy. Randall Leon Chesser was last seen wearing a light blue hoodie, blue jeans and cowboy boots with spurs. He stands four feet tall, and weighs about 40 pounds. He has brown hair, brown eyes and a birthmark in the hairline above his forehead.

Randall was last seen at his family's Willisburg home at about 6 p.m saturday. Authorities say his family searched for several hours before contacting the Washington County Sheriff's department. State police are now handling the investigation, and they say they've found no evidence that leads them to believe that an abduction has occurred.

If you have any information, call Kentucky State Police at 1-800-222-5555.

WILLISBURG, KY (WAVE) - Kentucky State Police (KSP) are investigating the disappearance of 7-year-old Randall Leon Chesser. He was last seen wearing a light blue hoodie, blue jeans and cowboy boots with spurs. He is a white male, four foot tall, weighing approximately 40 pounds, brown hair and brown eyes. He has a birthmark in the hairline above his forehead and is Autistic.

"I love you very much and mommy wants you to come home." Lewellyn Chesser, Randall's mother said Sunday as she began to cry.

Chesser was last seen by his family at their home, on Lawrenceburg Road in Willisburg, KY, about 6:00 p.m. Saturday, September 24th. After searching for several hours, the family contacted the Washington County Sheriff's Department for assistance. At 1:18 Sunday morning, the Sheriff's Department asked KSP to handle the investigation.

Police say search parties have been looking for Randall on foot and on horseback, cars, ATVs, and by helicopter. Hundreds of local volunteers, along with Fire, EMS, Rescue and Law Enforcement agencies and the Commonwealth Search & Rescue Dog Team are assisting.

Allena Hamilton is Randall's special education teacher. She joined the search effort.

"They hoped that my voice would help him," Hamilton said. "Maybe he would come to my voice, because he deals with me everyday and he's, for the most part non-verbal. I don't know that he would answer to a stranger's voice."

Washington County Judge Executive John A. Settles spoke to the community's involvement in looking for the boy.

"These are just community people," Said Settle. "It just shows how concerned our community is for this young man and for the family."

KSP Investigators say they have found no evidence of an abduction so the boy's disappearance does not meet the criteria for an Amber Alert. However, the boy's family believes otherwise.

"We're afraid somebody has kidnapped him," Randall's grandmother, Maeola Chesser, said.

Randall's mother said her son would not have left their yard without someone familiar to him.

"He would've never left...went hear the road, nothing without somebody," Lewellyn Chesser said. "(His) Brother, sister, mom, dad...an adult. He would have never left this yard."

As the search continues, Randall's grandmother and family hopes he receives a message.

"Honey, if you're out there and you're listening to Ma-Maw, don't be afraid honey, just hold on, because we're going to hunt until we find you," Maeola Chesser said.

Police do not think boy was kidnapped.

WILLISBURG, Ky. (AP) — Kentucky State Police say they are expanding the search area for a 7-year-old autisic boy who has been missing since Saturday afternoon.

Police said in a statement Monday that 60 cadets from the Kentucky State Police Training Academy have joined the effort to find Randall Leon Chesser. Despite the rain Monday morning, crews scoured the area around the boy's home in Willisburg.

The statement says the military has agreed to provide air support when the rain stops. In addition, police say a reverse 911 call describing the boy has been made to more than 450 residences within a 27-mile radius of the boy's home.
