Carlos Tevez an Argentinian striker playing for the English club Manchester City last night refused to come off the substitutes bench to play in a Champions League game in Germany because he was..........."upset".
Tevez, who cost man city a transfer fee of over $60 million two years ago plus his weekly wage of over $300,000, refused to get up and replace one of his fellow strikers late in the game.
Manager Roberto Mancini was incensed as were his teammates and Manchester city fans over 3000 of whom made the long trip to Germany to watch City play.
Tevez who is now unhappy at City wanted a transfer away from the club in the summer but it never materalised, there are now calls for Tevez to be facing legal action for breach of contract.
Has this ever happened in American football?

He's a good player but he is one ugly motherfucker.
His scars were caused by being accidentally scalded with boiling water as a child.

I've never heard of anything like that in the NFL, OP, if anything just the opposite is true. They have to be forced to stay on the sidelines when hurt, lots of rules & regulations regarding that now. They all appear to want to play with their team.

Sue him (or at least penalize him) for breach of contract. What an ingrate. How many people work for years doing things they don't particularly love to make the amount of money he does in one week? Fucking diva... Never heard of this happening in American football.

Does his contract specifically state he has to play when he is upset? in fact do you know what his contract says at all?
I wouldn't be a bit surprised if his contract says he has a say so in when he leaves the injury bench.
Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.

His contract says he has to play if he is fit and follow the managers instructions at all times like any other footballer brainiac.
What the fuck is the injury bench?
Heres dick once again trying to go off on one on another subject he knows fuck all about.
Can I not post anything without dick the dickhead dicking about with his dickishness all the fucking time?

You are kidding right? If not, you should be, Dick.
If the employment contract does not state that the employed is obligated to work except as excused by physician, authorized by management, or in case of serious personal emergency, it was written by someone who shouldn't be writing contracts. Those are basic conditions for salaried employees. I'm sure the league has top notch contract attorneys considering the money at stake with its employees. There may be more conditions and exceptions (provisions for sudden illness, vacation, maternity/parternity leave...), but "I can't work because I am upset that I didn't get my way" is surely not among them.

I know, but I think this particular steaming pile of ignorant shit was probably in response to my comment.
