If the dad came home from work at 4:00 am and found the baby gone .. why would his cell phone be gone? Wouldn't he have had his cell phone with him? Strange

I hate to always jump to the conclusion that the parents are involved. It's odd a kidnapper would turn the lights on (the mother or a neighbor might notice) and it's odd that a kidnapper would enter the house if the lights were already on.

Strange It is strange. The parents are saying the phones were all on the counter because the mother was reprogramming the numbers. But it still seems odd that the dad wouldn't have taken his to work - especially working the hours he does. I agree - strange. One thing I'm not clear on - was the news of the missing cell phones new to LE too or did they know from the beginning?

The only reason people get lost in thought is because it's unfamiliar territory.

Three phones taken. One not working. Perhaps the non working phone was replaced, explaining reprogramming numbers. If one of our cells break, we usually update both with new phones. Maybe dad was done programming his, and took new phone with him.

After reading all the reports, and watching the videos I have to question – What lights were on? Just stating the lights were on could mean several different things…Did he have to wake the mother up? Or was she already up waiting for him? Does she wake up early to greet him when he gets home?
The whole cell phones first being missing, than being on the counter, then just being programmed by the mom….so many different scenarios in this case already. I am still on the fence with this case, the story is very compelling…listening to the parents is very convincing. BUT we have all scene parents “act” upset about a missing child, when they knew all along what happened.

I read on a local TV station blog 2 days ago a few posts from someone stating they were family. This person wrote that LE wasn't telling all and that things were taken from the home. Didn't go into details so I left that in the ??? column as to truth or not. But I have been waiting to see if this proved to be true.

presser just now 7 PM their time.
parents have decided to stop cooperating with police. that's all he would say. Capt. Young: "The parents have intimate information as to what's been going on...our door is open and it doesn't help that they are no longer cooperating" by Brian Foster - KMBC.com... 8:02 PM Capt. Young: "They've always been free and cooperative up until this point, but they've decided to stop cooperating" by Brian Foster - KMBC.com... 8:01 PM Capt. Young: "We don't have any suspect. If we had enough to charge anyone with, we'd probably be pursuing charges." by Brian Foster - KMBC.com... 8:02 PM Capt. Young: "I don't have to illustrate how their lack of cooperation hurts the investigation."

That last statement is...interesting.

i really like this Capt. he has been frank and forthcoming within the parameters that he can w/o compromising case.

Oh, here we fucking go - the parents are no longer cooperating. They'll probably say it was on the advice of their attorney or some shit. As a parent - I don't give a shit who advised me of what. If my kid was missing, I'd be sleeping at the police station so, I'd be available if they needed to know what my kid's favorite color was or if they needed me to take a 19th poly. I'd make my 8th cousin removed take a poly if it would help find my child.
Inevitably, when parents do not want to cooperate....something is fishy. The presser should say....."This just in - these parents are responsible for the dissappearance of their child". JMO. Hopefully, I'm wrong.
10-06-2011, 08:21 PM
There's nothing that would stop me from cooperating with police if my child were missing - even if LE was treating me as a suspect - and knowing that parents have been wrongly targeted by LE - I would risk everything to find my child.

I new to this, for this reason. I must say 1st, love this forum. Have been reading for days about this case. I live here in the Kansas City area. So now a want to scream, so I thought I would post instead of making the neighbors wonder why I'm screaming so loud.
My scream! WHY! Why would you stop cooperating. I have tried to think positive about them this whole time. But now this just makes no sense at all. I have had all the same questions, the breaking in, and the phones?.. I carry my phone to work with me. I just don't have a good feeling at all now. I just don't understand. I agree with DMP. They might as well said that. I hope they didn't hurt this little girl.
YOU CAN'T FIX STUPID!

even if an attny. advised them to STFU it is a dumb move that focuses all negative attention on them.
i know police methods can be intimidating, but when you have nothing to conceal you can tolerate the intensity for the sake your missing child. i have been disturbed at no reward offered. even by FBI who has the slush fund to do it. i am going to be heartbroken if this beautiful little baby has been murdered. but this is night 4. i hope someone has her and is caring for her. here is the presser: http://www.kmbc.com/video/29412662/detail.html

6 min video about the phones and other questions, close up on the parent's, she seems distraught and keeps looking to the dad, who keeps his face down as someone else commented upon.
In the article written with this video it is stated that Jeremy gave LE 9 names as possible perps, anyone know more about this? "Bradley and Lisa’s father, Jeremy Irwin, said during the brief news conference they did not know of anyone who would want to take his daughter. “The only thing I could think of is that maybe someone wanted a baby,” Bradley said. While no suspects have been named, NBC's Peter Alexander reported Thursday on Today Show Jeremy Irwin provided investigators a list of nine individuals who the "family thought may have had something to do with their daughter's abduction." http://www.nbcactionnews.com/dpp/news/re...ay-hopeful

"This evening we will be shutting down the command post. We believe we have done all we can regarding geographic searches and will continue tracking leads as we get them or develop additional information," police Officer Darin Snapp said in a news release.

Yes, if innocent, it's a dumb, dumb, dumb move. As LC said, it focuses attention upon yourself, which means if the child was kidnapped, the public won't be as alert because they'll assume the parents killed the child.
Do you suppose LE finally asked them to take polygraphs? (I would have thought they would have done it before now.) |
