Kansas City police are blocking off roads near the Irwin home.

i think this is going to be a very inclusive search today. and it was smart to get a warrant. they should have obtained warrants even for consensual searches, to cover their butts in any future court case.

KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -

For the first time since Day 2 of the baby Lisa Irwin investigation, police have control once again of the family home.

Police said they have a warrant to search the family home on North Lister Avenue of the missing 11-month-old baby. Police also said the family is not allowed in the home.

Police said they plan to execute the search warrant sometime Wednesday most likely after the sun comes up.

According to police, this is the first warrant issued to search the home. The previous searches were consensual.

Kansas City Police Department spokesman Capt. Steve Young said they want to see what the parents might have now that they did not have before.

As in...purchases made with a sudden windfall? Or physical evidence they had something to do with her disappearance? And if the latter...like what? What could be new in that respect?

I'm kind of thinking while mother was drunk, Lisa may have accidentally drowned in some leftover bath water, fallen , smothered or got into some poison and mom came up with this story so they wouldn't get charged with negligence/manslaughter...i think she loved the baby very much. If by a very slim chance this was an abduction,the abductor chose the perfect night.Dad working nights for the first time(strange),Mom drunk,all of the lights on,doors open, and neighbor visiting.

I also find it strange that the fathers of these boys haven't given LE permission to interview the boys.I know one is in the service but he could be contacted. Yes I know the parents say it would be traumatic.I think these boys know something. Lisa's dad doesn't need moms permission for his son to be interviewed.

I read somewhere that there is an enormous amount of child molesters in their area. LC, do you the the stats of child molesters that would be interested in a baby instead of an older child.

And really,do we know the last time Lisa was seen by anyone other than the immediate family.

At this point, I believe that mom knows exactly what happened and dad is totally whipped or he also knows everything.

Police said its Bomb and Arson truck will be going to the scene on North Lister Avenue. Police Capt. Steve Young said the unit has some equipment that will aid the search, but there is not an explosive device on the property.
