Lindsay Buckingham had a big hit here with "I think I am in trouble". What about bands like .... Big Country, there single Big Country. What about that Pretty in Pink song, "if you leave, I won't cry, I won't waste one single"

Yes, you're right, Buckingham had a hit here as well with 'Trouble' and, of course, he was a key member of Fleetwood Mac for years. I was just trying to include his solo work.
You're thinking of OMD's 'If You Leave' from Pretty in Pink. Good song as well.

That's it, I hope I am not getting senile in my old age, not remembering OMD.

Well, the 80's were really the last of days of bands as we know them. I mean, the 90's spawned pop groups like Third Eye Blind, the Goo Goo Dolls, Matchbox Twenty, Hootie & the Blowfish, etc., but the 80's had tons of 'bands' trying to make it.
In the 2000's you still have a few bands making music: Staind, The Script, The Fray, Train, etc., but the majority of pop music now is a single artist (who has songs written for them, not composing them as a complete band would).
Forgot one from the other day:
Haircut 100- Love Plus One

Please. For all that is sacred and Holy please don't mention Billy, Don't Be a Hero -or- Timothy. Ode to Billy Joe gets a wink and a nod. 96 Tears, Spirit in the Sky and I've Got a Line on You, too.

I would never do that.
Iwas thinking more along the line of Patti Smith -Because the Night or (Rhonda hep me) Mouth and McNeil -How Do You Do.

I can watch it over and over and smile and giggle every time.
Something so wonderful about watching someone faceplant
on a treadmill that gets me going. Probably because I know exactly
how it feels...broken glasses and all.
To this day I refuse to use a treadmill...

They are not a one hit wonder but I used to love The Cars. I wore out that cassette tape in my car! I just heard them on the radio the other day - Best Friends GF. Cranked that all the way up.

Very nice!
First nightclub I ever went to in my life occurred in 1985 in Oslo.
No lie, as I'm standing in the line to get in, there's a super-hot young woman in front of me. In Europe, when you queue up, the line starts to compress and you feel like people are pressing up against you (which can be good or bad depending on your perspective).
Anyway, this line is compacting, we're hardly moving anywhere, and I'm suddenly pressing up very tightly against this gal. I'm looking at my buddy like, "holy shit, I'm right against her ass!" pretty fun if you're 19 years old.
We get inside, and the tune that's blaring??
None other than Tarzan Boy.
Ooohhhh-oooohhhh oooohhh ooohhhh oooh oh oh ooh oh.
Love David & David too.
