My baby is in the 20's and the first thing I do in the morning is make sure all is well in the morning. Open all the bedroom doors. If the Alarm didn't awake me when they came in. I wonder if that ever goes away?

My faith tells me to not question, but OMG, WTF is wrong with people?

St. Louis (KSDK) - Police have taken a person into custody for the death of 13-month-old Tyler Dasher.

In a statement issued just before 6 a.m., St. Louis County police said the individual has not yet been formally booked or processed, and no other details will be announced until after the prosecuting attorney examines the case.

Family members were interviewed late into the night, but the police statement makes no mention of whether the person arrested is a member of Dasher's family.

MANY police Detectives came to house this morning with cuffed suspect...it could not be determined whether it was male or female. they went inside briefly, then left. this is clearly a very active investigation.

edit to add:
Earlier Tuesday morning authorities returned to the area along River Des Peres Boulevard where the body of Tyler Dasher was found. Detectives walked the area with a woman wearing a jacket. It is not clear if the woman is a suspect.

News 4's Mark Schnyder has been reporting live from that location. He was live on the air this morning as a large group of detectives walked around the scene with the unidentified woman. He says that the woman was not wearing handcuffs, but her every move was being videotaped by a detective. Mark says that after the woman got into the detective's car, she pulled her jacket over her head when she spotted the News 4 camera.

Affton, Mo (KSDK) - A person named Shelby Dasher, which also happens to be the same name as the mother of Tyler Dasher, was booked on a 24-hour hold at 2:00 a.m. Wednesday at the county jail, according to a St. Louis County jail supervisor.

Shelby Dasher has not been named a suspect in the death of Tyler and has not been charged with a crime.

Babies having babies.....at 20 YO and by the looks of her FB page, she was rather immature. Poor Tyler probably cut into her social time. Plus he was growing up, moving around more-not just laying there and being cute like an infant.

Multiple sources have confirmed to News 4 that Shelby Dasher has confessed to the beating death of her son, Tyler. She dumped his body then returned home to sleep, waiting several hours later to report him missing.

i wanted to hear why she took him out to woods. and a reporter asked about duct tape but got no answer. probably a rumor.



St. Louis County Prosecutor Bob McCulloch said the 13-month-old boy died as a result of blunt force trauma.

The evidence suggests there was not premeditation, which is why Dasher was charged with second-degree murder, McCulloch said. The difference between first-degree and second-degree murder charges is the difference between being "cold-blooded" or "hot-blooded," according to McCulloch.
