How many Jorelys' is it going to take to get laws changed to give the fucking monsters that commit these crimes what they deserve. The current "death penalty" is too humane. Tie them to a stake and let the public take out their outrage.

Or better yet, stake them to a pole in the common area of the worst prison in the country and tell the inmates that anything goes, but make it last as long as possible.

Jorelys' funeral is scheduled for 2 p.m Saturday at First Baptist Canton.
Her family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m Friday at Darby Funeral Home.
Private donors are paying for the services.

Children who lived near Jorelys pay respect to her in the park.

may her murderer be apprehended today. the people who live there are not only angry, but frightened for their children.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

An arrest has been made in the Jorelys Rivera homicide case, the GBI told the AJC.

Vernon Keenan declined to identify the man, but investigators plan to release more details in the case at a 1:45 p.m. press conference today.

There is no indication what information may be released, Lt. Jay Baker with the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office said.

i felt this would be solved fast. and that it would be someone young. (don't know yet). because it was a frenzied attack from what they have NOT said about her horrific injuries; sloppy and disorganized. leaving a lot of evidence. someone with dumpster/compactor key and access to empty apt. it will almost have to be a mental defense.

i am so thankful the parents there can rest a little easier now. but an awful lesson has been learned. the mother here has had all her kids removed.
