Well, why do people change sexual positions?

Because it makes it more interesting.

How boring would this story be, if there weren't several versions out there for us to debate?

hah Touché

I did not think the position of the vehicle was a debate, I thought it was stationary when the Police came to the scene.

In the beginning, most assumed that Zimmerman parked by the mailboxes because that is the location he gave the dispatcher.

But, he parked right at the beginning of the sidewalk that formed a T. He drove a silver Honda SUV. You can see right where he parked in one of the early videos of that night. And Taafe said that is where he parked. Evidently, Zimmerman parked as soon as he saw Trayvon leave the road. And followed on foot.

Sanford police prepare down-to-the-second George Zimmerman timeline
By Rene Stutzman, Orlando Sentinel
11:58 a.m. EST, May 21, 2012

In a timeline included in evidence documents released last week, Sanford police spelled out down to the second, what happened the night George Zimmerman fatally shot Trayvon Martin, based on time-stamped calls to their dispatch center.

It shows Zimmerman fired 1 minute, 57 seconds after he hung up.

1911:12 - Call received from George Zimmerman reporting suspicious person

1913:19 - Zimmerman relays that suspicious person is running from him

1913:36 - Dispatcher asks Zimmerman if he is following suspicious person

1913:36 - Dispatcher advises Zimmerman "Okay; we don't need you to do that"

1915:23 - Approximate time call with Zimmerman ends

1916:43 - 911 call placed by (blacked out name) where Zimmerman is heard screaming for help

1917:20 - Shot fired; screams from Zimmerman cease

1917:40 - Officer T. Smith arrives on scene

1919:43 - Officer T. Smith locates and places Zimmerman in custody.

Interesting to see this in evidence.

Interesting? It's just more bad commentary. Even the FBI with all their resources don't know who it was screaming for help.

He's going to pay one way or another... he either gets convicted of something, or he will pay civilly. Or what if he gets convicted, but gets a light sentence? There will be still riots.

What I worry about with the rioting is that I don't think it will be contained to Orlando. It will likely happen in places all over the country... there are people just waiting for something to rabble-rouse about. Plenty of disaffected groups might join in just for the hell of it. And before you know it it's nationwide.

Yes, it will most likely happen in urban areas so disruption to your or my life is unlikely... unless the civil unrest disrupts the economy or turns economic sentiment down. Then we are all affected.

Interesting to see this in evidence.

Te only thin factual is the time line and it's taken from the 911 tapes.

zimmerman yelling for help is taken as well from the 911 tapes, the police are not stating that is a fact only that the caller indicated that when they called.

That wasn't able to be determined. Why would you reinforce that belief? I thought you used to be a cop. Act like it.

It's what the person making the call told them.

I didn't reinforce anything.

Remember there is a witness that said Z was under T and T was pummeling him and Z was screaming for help.

That is where that information came from, it hasn't been proven or testified to under oath yet, so it's just a time line deal with that call and the info they were given included.

So even though there are several instances of the authorities saying it was unable to be determined it means nothing because it hasn't been sworn to under oath? Is that what you are saying? I'll tell you right now, if the people who are supposed to be pursuing justice have lied to everyone about that then they deserve all the bullshit they are hit with every time they hit the streets. If we can't trust the police then they don't deserve any respect from anyone.

What I'm saying is that hasn't been proven, nothing on a 911 tape is proven except the time line, that quote is to reference that particular time and that particular call nothing more.

I think there's a difference between 'pursuit', which to me means 'seeking prey', versus following/observing, which to me would mean, 'I'm keeping an eye on you until the authorities arrive'.

That's the rub. It's my belief that Z would've sounded out of breath because T was obviously trying to elude him.

As T tells GF that someone's following him, he decided to speed up, at which point Z could've easily muttered, 'they always get away'.

As Z decides to head back to truck after losing him, T (who's either been lying in wait, or has doubled back) then jumps him.

That's the conclusion that I'VE come to. If I'm proven wrong down the road, I'll gladly admit my error.

I agree. I think this version seems the most plausible!

Duly noted and recorded.

Riots won't change anything, because most of the rioters aren't in it for the cause. They are in it for the mayhem. And once the mob starts this sort of thing can get out of hand in a hurry; there are people on both sides who would pour gasoline on an already volatile situation.

Be very careful what you wish for.

Agreed about Z paying one way or another.

IN SPADES!

BTW: At least we can be sure he'll lose his CCP.

And while riots are not desirable, it IS how the angry and disenfranchised seek redress for their grievances.
