There is way, WAY too much pc bullshit. She can call it whatever she wants, the fact remains, they are illegal.

I think you're a dummie because you can't see the difference between me smoking a little weed in the privacy of my own home & the presence of illegal aliens sucking up our resources that should be there for Americans.

hah and you call yourself edumacated? I can see the difference, but the law is the law, why would to want to enforce one law, while breaking another?

Getting back to illegals-

The current immigration acts limit the number of people that can enter this country legally each year-the Mexican quota is probably maxed out by Jan 2. Therefor, for a large number of Mexicans seeking out a better life, the only way to do that would be crossing the boarder illegally.

Hypothetically-say your in a country that whips you every hour. That country allows 1 person a day to leave, and your 2 years away from the head of the line-do you patiently wait out your 17,500 whippings or do you start looking for a hole in the fence?

Your placing blame on illegals for sucking the system dry, yet the real blame should be on the politicians that routinely look the other way when it comes to welfare and immigration reform, not to mention the voting public, which keeps these chuckle heads in office.

alien in Mexico.

◦in the country legally;
◦have the means to sustain themselves economically;
◦not destined to be burdens on society;
◦of economic and social benefit to society;
◦of good character and have no criminal records; and
◦contributors to the general well-being of the nation.
The law also ensures that:

◦immigration authorities have a record of each foreign visitor;
◦foreign visitors do not violate their visa status;
◦foreign visitors are banned from interfering in the country's internal politics;
◦foreign visitors who enter under false pretenses are imprisoned or deported;
◦foreign visitors violating the terms of their entry are imprisoned or deported;
◦those who aid in illegal immigration will be sent to prison.
Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.

full story at link below.

when i lived in Fla. the wet-foot dry-foot policy allowed Cubans to stay if they made it to land. Haitians were always sent back. not sure what policy is now for Haitians, but these people were headed for the Keys i'm sure. i saw their terrible little makeshift boats all the time.
it's 90 miles of hard current and sharks.
38 people in a fucking inner tube with a few planks.

-----------------------------------------------

(CNN) -- At least 11 people are dead and 13 missing after a boat carrying 28 Haitian migrants ran into trouble while on its way to the United States, the U.S. Coast Guard said Tuesday.

Four of those on board made it safely to shore and raised the alarm with the Bahamas police force, U.S. Coast Guard spokesman Petty Officer Jon-Paul Rios said.

The Haitians' vessel broke up off Hawksbill Cay in the Bahamas, he said.

The U.S. Coast Guard sent three aircraft, one of them a rescue helicopter, to the scene after Bahamian authorities asked for help, where they recovered 11 bodies, Rios said.

The United States has long been a destination for migrants from Haiti, with many sailing via the Bahamas or the Turks and Caicos Islands.

Fox
Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer on Wednesday ordered state agencies to deny driver's licenses and other public benefits to young illegal immigrants who obtain work authorizations under a new Obama administration policy.

In an executive order, Brewer said she was reaffirming the intent of current Arizona law denying taxpayer-funded public benefits and state identification to illegal immigrants.

Young illegal immigrants around the nation on Wednesday began the process of applying for federal work permits under the Obama administration's Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals.

The federal policy defers deportations for that group if they meet certain criteria, including arrival in the United States before they turned 16 and no convictions for certain crimes.

After President Barack Obama announced the policy change in June, Brewer labeled it "backdoor amnesty" and political pandering by the Democratic president.

Arizona has been in the vanguard of states enacting laws against illegal immigration.

The U.S. Supreme Court in June overturned parts of the Arizona enforcement law known as SB1070 but ruled that a key provision on requiring police to ask people about their immigration status under certain circumstances can be implemented.

The Obama administration challenged that law in 2010 after Brewer signed it into law.

In the past decade, Arizona voters twice approved laws denying publicly funded services, such as in-state resident university tuition rates, to illegal immigrants unless mandated by the federal government.

Brewer's order said the policy's federal paperwork doesn't confer lawful status on illegal immigrants and won't entitle them to Arizona public benefits.

However, it said the policy change "could result in some unlawfully present aliens inappropriately gaining access to public benefits contrary to the intent of Arizona voters and lawmakers who enacted laws expressly restricting access to taxpayer funded benefits and state identification."

Brewer directed state agencies to start any necessary emergency rulemaking processes to implement her order.

no convictions for certain crimes.

Really? How about no convictions for any crimes? Ok if a kid gets arrested for shop lifting food for his starving family, I might over look that. But anything else? NO. You get convicted of any crime in our country, your ass gets sent back to where you came from. No US benefits or job or driver's license.

Every time I see this thread title on the front page, I think that we've been pretty fair to illegals... I mean seeing as how they weren't shot at or stopped from entering the country I'd say that's pretty fair.
