The link for the route doesn't work shitstorm can you put it back up when you get a chance!

I agree with you the first two truck pictures are the same truck. I think the SOB possibly saw Mickey when he was making a left turn at light, he turns the corner and flips somewhere to come back after her, it is very chilling!!

Yes, in the Lauren Spierer case. After looking at it, again, I think it's a different model truck. There are a bunch of cases of missing, petite blonds, though, so a connection can't be ruled out.

Here's the map. North is at the top:

http://maps.google.com/maps?q=100+ryan+s...1&t=m&z=16

The red pin is 100 Ryan St where Mickey left from (her friend Brettly's house). She went south down Parkside and turned east onto Versailles. This is the first location she was caught on camera. She headed south on Versailles, turning south on St John, going toward W University Blvd. Notice that St John forks just after W Convent. She took the upper part of the fork which is St Landry to cross W University. This is the second location (Circle K gas station) she was on camera. This is also where a white truck is captured, twice, once going in her direction and the other in the opposite. The third picture of a white truck (NOT by the gas station) is on W University, traveling north, between St Landry and Parkside, next to where that cemetery is on the map. I don't know if that's the same truck seen near Circle K. I there are Mickey would have continued, across W University, down St Landry, but as far we know, no more cameras captured her.

NightOwl, the Google map should work. Just follow the directions I wrote to map her route.

I agree that the truck was following her.

Oh, shit, LC. I'll go look at the map.

Lets pray that the bike yields some clues/evidence.

OMG, that location of the bike (if it's hers) is so remote. How did anyone even find it? No idea how far this is from Lafayette.

27 miles from Lafayette. Family denies it's her bike. Dunno, though, because her sister also said the white truck pics were not THE white truck, just one like it. No idea why she said that.

Lafayette Police confirm they have found the bike of Mickey Shunick under the Whiskey Bay exit off Interstate 10. Fishermen called in the information to the police department's tip line. Investigators are continue to collect evidence at the scene.

This is the location where a serial killer dumped bodies. Everyone knows it so Mickey's abductor may have been influenced by that. The bike could have been dumped as recently as last night. Maybe the surveillance videos prompted him to do this. No way to know! There ARE traffic cams out there, though.

All of those white vehicles in the photo, including pick ups, shows how hard tracking down that white truck will be. They're a dime a dozen.

Traffic cam looking at this location:

Dunno if they can zoom in and see plates. If the bike was dumped late at night, there wouldn't be much traffic out there and it would be easier to zero in on someone.

Lafayette Police confirmed that a bicycle found under the Whiskey Bay exit off Interstate 10 this morning is the same bicycle that Michaela “Mickey” Shunick was riding when she was last seen on May 19.

The bicycle was found underneath the overpass after fishermen called the information in to the Lafayette Police Department tips line. Investigators arrived on the scene Sunday morning and are continuing to process the area for clues.

"The entire area and the river are being searched for clues and evidence," said Lafayette Police Department PIO Cpl. Paul Mouton in an email Sunday afternoon. "Police are asking the public to remain out of the area so that law enforcement officials can search."

Currently, members of the St. Martin Parish Narcotics Unit are using four-wheelers to scour the treeline and woods in the area. A Louisiana State Police helicopter is flying low, performing an aerial search.

Underneath the bridge itself, K-9 units and a Lafayette Police Department command post are set up to help direct the searchers. perimeter established.

It's about 45 minutes from the Circle K gas station to exit 127 on Interstate 10.

I 10 goes from Los Angeles Ca. to Jacksonville FL.

Hope they lift a print from the bike!

It has to be heartbreaking for the family.

There are lots of roads down there with many ways to get in. The perp could have come from anywhere, not just the interstate.
