Word.

I wouldn't want to live like that. The pain alone must be excrutiating let alone what he will go through to put is face back together.

Just take the face off the guy that ate his and sew it on.

Leather face didn't mind wearing other peoples faces.

i'll be surprised if he survives. that's as bad as some burns, infection sets in.

then again, look at that poor woman who had her face ripped off by a huge chimp in Conn. she now has a new face after years of hellish torture.

That's the main thing that makes me believe he may live through it.

I don't mean to be a debbie downer but in all honesty i still dont think i'd want to live through it. After being homeless for so long, and based on the difficulty they seemed to have locating any of his family it sounds like it'd be a terribly lonely recovery once the docs are done with u. Or between surgeries and shit like that. The woman who was attacked by the chimp at least had family/friends for support and help. Mr Poppo, at least at this point, doesn't seem to be nearly as lucky. I will be very impressed if he turns out as well as she did

a tragic life

The homeless man whose face was eaten off by the 'Miami cannibal' during a horrific, 18-minute attack was a star student at a prestigious New York school before he became a down-and-out.

A yearbook picture of Ronald Poppo was obtained by the New York Daily News, who reported the victim was in the Latin Club and worked in the guidance office at Stuyvesant High School before he became homeless.

According to his long record of petty arrests, he spent the last four decades in Florida and nothing is yet known about how his tragic fall from grace from top student to a life on the streets.

Is this becoming an epidemic?

A 21-year-old electrical engineering student has been charged with first-degree murder after parts of a man’s dismembered body were found in his home a week after the man first went missing.
Alexander Kinyua confessed to police that he also ate his roommate’s heart and portions of the brain after killing him in their Joppa, Maryland town home.
This is the second deeply disturbing report of cannibalism to sweep the nation within a week. In the first, ‘Miami Cannibal’ Rudy Eugene tore off and ate most of the face of down-and-out homeless man Ronald Poppo.

The Hartford County Sheriff's office said they found the body parts while searching the town home on Terrapin Terrace in Joppa, Maryland, northeast of Baltimore, after receiving a tip from Kinyua's father.
Police also found a human head and hands in metal tins on the house’s main floor, the Baltimore Sun reported.
According to charging documents, Kinyua admitted to eating Kujoe Bonsafo Agyei-Kodie’s heart and part of his brain after stabbing him to death.
Kinyua then directed police to Towne Baptist Church on Trimble Road, where they said they found the rest of Agyei-Kodie’s remains.

how sad

NYDaily News

Janice Poppo DiBello couldn’t remember the father who abandoned her at age 2.

The New Jersey woman was stunned Thursday to discover her absentee dad was the homeless man victimized last weekend by a flesh-eating Florida madman who gnawed away most of his features.

“I’m really upset because I haven’t met my father,” the 44-year-old woman told the Daily News while walking her family dog near their Morris County home.

“Since I was 2 years old, him and my mom got divorced and there was no — like how normal divorces are, where you see your father,” Poppo DiBello continued from behind a pair of sunglasses. “Nobody ever heard anything from him, so I’ve never met him.

“I didn’t know if he was alive or dead.”

After The News found Poppo DiBello, she called her mother to confirm the details about the victim — and her parent did just that.

“It was a complete shock, because like I said, I’ve never had a relationship with my biological father,” the IT analyst said. “I have never heard from him. I have no idea what happened to him.”

Poppo dropped out of college in late 1966, two years before daughter Janice was born. He disappeared from her life for good two years later after a divorce that left a still-bitter taste in his ex-wife’s mouth.

“I have nothing to say,” said Theresa Chesler, now living in the Catskills. “We were divorced, probably in 1970. And nobody’s heard from him since then.”

Listen up you dense, little, marble, I said I "heard" it was super acid (on the radio). Don't really care what he took; just glad it wasn't weed and a case of the munchies gone all wrong.
