Here is another one I found funny.

All this time I've been blaming Roger Goodell. I thought he was his own boss & the boss of the NFL. His boss' are the team owners, he takes direction from them. I am so disillusioned. Owners are doing this to their teams. Over the summer a reporter asked an owner for his take on this disagreement (regarding the refs salary) his response was "they think we can't play without them." Hmmph.

The NFL and NFLRA are pleased to announce that they have reached an agreement tonight on an eight-year collective bargaining agreement, subject to ratification by the NFLRA, according to the statement. "Our officials will be back on the field starting [Thursday] night," commissioner Roger Goodell said. "We appreciate the commitment of the NFLRA in working through the issues to reach this important agreement." Story

Well, the referee's lockout has come to a conclusion, and hopefully the games will now be decided by the players on the field and not by the officials.
Did pretty well last week against the number and my record on the season ATS stands at: 25-20-3 Pittsburgh and Indy have the week off, so let's get to it... Tonight: BALT (-12) Sunday: Minny (+4.5) BUFF (+4) Carolina (+7) NYJETS (+4) KC (pick 'em) Tennessee (+12) ST.LOUIS (+2.5) Miami (+6.5) Oakland (+6.5) JACKSONVILLE (+2.5) New Orleans (+7.5) TAMPA BAY (-3) N.Y.Giants (+2) Monday: DALLAS (-3.5) Now, just the outright winners: Tonight: BALT over Cleve Sunday: ATLANTA over Carolina New England over BUFFALO DETROIT over Minny KC over San Diego ST.LOUIS over Seattle NYJETS over San Francisco HOUSTON over Tennessee Miami over ARIZONA (upset of the week) JACKSONVILLE over Cincinnati Oakland over DENVER GREEN BAY over New Orleans TAMPA BAY over Washington NYGiants over PHILADELPHIA Monday: DALLAS over Chicago

Giants-Eagles is a tough one. Everything says the Eagles should rebound and knock them off.
But, with the Eagles offensive line in shambles and Phillys inability to protect the football so far, I just can't pick em. They need to get healthy up front, and have Vick play better. GMen have arguably the best defensive front in the league, and it's going tone tough on number 7. I will wish you luck though, and as the Vikes proved last week, anyone can beat anyone in this league.

We've beat them seven of our last eight matchups. I don't even know what to say about the O-line and I do believe our defense won us our first two games. I think it's clear that Michael's ass is on the line & Coach Reid backpedaled big time on a remark he made earlier in the week. Michael's hundred million dollar contract doesn't fully go into effect until January.

Good news: the regular NFL refs will be back to work by Sunday.
Didn't realize they made so much so money. The tentative contract called for refs' salaries to increase from an average of $149,000 a year in 2011 to $173,000 in 2013, rising to $205,000 by 2019. The current defined benefit pension plan will remain in place for current officials through the 2016 season or until the official earns 20 years' service. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/09/29...25232.html

They make a shit ton for something that is basically little more than a hobby & only lasts a few months every year. Having said that, they go through immense training, one can't simply decide they want to be an NFL ref and then proceed to be one. It takes many years and there is a ladder to climb, so to speak.

Game day! Football night in America! Philadelphia Eagles VS those fuckin' NY Giants. A division war. Go Eagles!

Percy Harvin has become one of the most dangerous players in the NFL. He went to the Univ of Florida with Tim Tebow and won a national title.
He returned the opening kickoff today 105 yards for a TD, and is also a leader in catches. Go Vikes.

Vikes move to 3-1 and did it without scoring an offensive TD.
Special teams and defense led the way. Now 3-1 and for the time being sitting atop NFC North. |
