Though this thread is bound to be nowhere as popular as the NFL thread, thought I'd put this out there for any baseball fans.

New York over Baltimore
ALCS:
Detroit over New York
NLDS:
San Francisco over Cincinnati
St.Louis over Washington

I don't know which sucks more:
The San Francisco Giants OR
My prognosticating abilities.
Good grief, I took the Giants in the office pool and I'm basically eliminated before anything gets started.

I wish I could get into this so we could chat about it, MS but I find it incredibly boring...even if they are the boys of summer.

Well, I appreciate the effort. Unless you were raised loving/playing baseball, I can see where watching a game would be painful.

First of all let me say I love quoting my own posts ^^^^.
Secondly, I was a little premature in dissing the SF Giants (and myself). Today, SF came back from an 0-2 deficit and won their 3 rd straight game in the Queen city and eliminated the Cincinnati Reds.
I'm still alive in the office pool!!

4 for 4 in the first round. Don't know if that's ever happened b4.
Amazing finish in the nation's capital last night, as St.Louis rallied from an early 6-0 deficit and crushed Nat fans dreams, with an improbable 9-7 victory.
Last year's champs will be a tough out.

Well, the World Series matchup is all set. It will be the well-rested Detroit Tigers against the cardiac kids San Francisco Giants (just as I predicted, BTW).
The Tigers will be favored in this series even though the Giants get the extra home game (if it goes 7).
However, will the Tigers be rusty (they haven't played since last Thursday)? And, how can you bet against SF now that they've won 6 straight elimination games during this post-season?

Tigers to win
The only reason people get lost in thought is because it's unfamiliar territory.

I don't think it has anything to do with his favorite ball club.

Jeezus. Eight grand to watch a game. I'd rather spend it on the guest bathroom.

You should hear the noise from outside. SF just won the world series, nonstop horns blowing, yells, fireworks.

A perfect board.
Yes, I'm going to pat myself on the back for this one.
Giants certainly looked like a team of destiny with the myriad of breaks that went their way in the first two series they played. By the time they met the Tigers and pounded Verlander in Game 1, you knew it was a mere formality that they'd be hoisting their second title in 3 years.
