Delusion in Death
#1
That is the new JD Robb book. I am reading it now and it's really good. Anyone else here read this series? I think that Lumpy/Smegma did. The murder this time is set in a bar at happy hour. For some reason all the patrons and staff become extremely violent and turn on each other killing each other. Dallas has to find out what caused these people to become visious murdering animals.

I highly recommend it if you like this series.

I like her better as Nora Roberts. When she writes as this person her stories seem too far fetched & I can't ever seem to suspend belief long enough to get involved in them.

Duchess, is it because it's set in the future?

Yeah, probably, it reminds me of sci-fi which I don't like at all. My boss likes her books & I always decline them when she tries to pass them off to me.

I think the forensics and science of the future is cool. I am not into sci-fi but I do enjoy this series. I didn't think I would at first though and was reluctant to read the first one. But I gave it a shot and am glad I did.

So this is a scifi mystery gay romance novel?

I was thinking of checking it out until Duchess mentioned the "rich dude banging a cop." I like sci-fi and mystery. Romance not so much.

I wouldn't call it romance, Clang, they are murder mysteries with the occasional hot sex thrown in. It usually happens after she fights for her life with a bad guy and she reaffirms her life by being fucked up against a wall.

There really isn't that much romance. Roarke and Dallas (cop) are married. They both come from bad circumstances and are damaged to say the least. It's their relationship, not the romance that is interesting. How they evolve together while solving some of the best murder mysteries ever written. Read the first one and I think you will like it.

Thats good. I don't mind a little romance in my stories. Princess Bride was still good despite the romance.
