I don't mind flying so much. I just hate when the plane is crowded. I hate waiting in the airport. I admit I do get more nervous during take off and landing than I did when I was younger. And I do NOT like flying in little planes. Puddles jumpers or planes that are only two seats on each side are not good. I like a nice big plane. Big Big Plane.

I swore I would never fly again after my last flight home from St Thomas last spring. I seriously thought I was going to DIE!!!
I'm over it now for the most part. The tropics are calling me and it's only the middle of October.
I'm not over it enough to not have drugs the next time I fly though.

Not a week goes by that I don't think about flying. I could be down south in about an hour versus 19 hrs. of driving.
Sorry to hear how your fear of flying has affected your life. My wife is a frickin' basket case on planes now. Keep in mind, like you, she used to fly A LOT.
On our trip back Monday, just the slightest bit of turbulence sent her into near paralysis. I literally had to tell her to breathe.
It's pretty sad how it has appeared from nowhere.

The turbulence she experienced coming back from Hawaii mindfucked her for life.

I hope the hell my last flight didn't do that to me. I'm already determined I'm getting back on a plane. I'm not going cold turkey though...I'll be hitting the doc up for some valium.
Did your wife take anything MS?

Funny you ask. She had a couple of valiums with her but chose not to take them.
She's just so nervous now, waiting for the turbulence to begin. I'm really glad our flights were ho-hum for the most part.
