This makes perfect sense to me and I hope that Colorado and Washington are gateway states; opening the door for more states to adopt similar decriminalization measures. On the other hand, I understand those that are against decriminalization of marijuana. It could set a dangerous precedent. Like the repealling of those laws that still prohibited consensual sodomy in many states up til 2003? Scary thought, right?; people all across the country minding their own damn business, doing what makes them feel good in the privacy of their own homes...

In a huge victory for the pro-pot movement, Washington and Colorado became the first states in the U.S. to legalize marijuana for recreational use on Tuesday. The unprecedented win could bring even more welcome news for marijuana users, as some say that legal pot could also mean cheaper pot for consumers.
That’s right -- many speculate that the price of marijuana will go down significantly as the industry enters a new legal environment. A report by Dale Gieringer, director of California NORML, a non-profit lobbying group working to legalize marijuana, shows that legal marijuana in an open market could cost as little as $3 an ounce -- 100 times less than its current price of about $300. Story $3.00 an oz.

What if the price of pussy could be reduced by 100 times what it's currently going for??? Those $5000/hr hookers Eliot Spitzer had suddenly became affordable for EVERYBODY!

Former Secretary of State, George Schultz called for the legalization of recreational drugs, it would take much of the criminal element out of the picture, he was brilliant and I see the Colorado vote one for good old George.
