It was a very moving scene at Independence Hall in Philly last night. It gave me goosebumps to see the crowd and to hear the people speak. It's very exciting to know that history will be made tonight when we see that a woman will be our next president.

The only people I know who were obsessed with polls were YOU (in protest of them), the media pundits (in relying too much upon them), and Trump (in following and citing them). Polls have never been almighty. The one poll that was regarded as an outlier because it always showed Trump a few points ahead of Clinton was the LA Times poll. It was actually the one that turned out to be accurate. It sampled the same 3000 people regularly instead of tossing in a lot of variables, and saw very little change in voter preference regardless of all the noise during the cycle. I suspect a lot of pollsters and forecasters (not just in politics) will be examining that model moving forward. |
