There is quite a bit of info in their newsletters some good some kinda a waste of time. Nice try to spread disinformation Maggot. The NRA just wants to keep killing children. And sell more guns. And scare people into buying more guns. They're a terrorist organization, and pathetic fuckers.

I'd look at their pix and try to reconcile what I was seeing with what I knew they were doing. In that I mean, I would see them sitting on a blanket having a picnic and enjoying their family, they looked happy & well adjusted but then they'd post a pic of themselves slaughtering other brown skinned people. One day a kid, probably around 10⁄11 holding the severed head of a man. Someone I assumed was his father was standing next to him smiling proudly. I couldn't wrap my head around that shit. There was almost always young boys in the pix, they made me think of groupies. It looked like they sought to be included with the men.

There are better ways to spend time doll. Glad you put it behind you.

Laura Ingraham of FOX News gave some shit to one of the Parkland students and lost 7 advertisers in less than 24 hours. Oopsie

As in most of these situations, the advertisers who pull their ads will suffer more than the talent or the rabble rousers who call for the boycotts.

No fucks to give to any who are employed by FOX or to those who watch it.

I was commenting in general about businesses boycotts, not particularly this one involving Ingraham.
As a business, anytime you're potentially polarizing 50% of your customers that's not a good thing.

I would agree, when they go to advertise on other networks they will reach half the audience FOX gets. Oh well. It matters nothing to me either way.

I think the public is at a tipping point over bullshit news of any kind and is lashing out. Fox is hemmhoraging money and I am extremely satisfied any time one of the loudmouths take a fall. They got so caught up in hubris they forgot to stay within bounds of credibility.
Thank god I am oblivious to the opinions of others while caught in the blinding splendor of my own cleverness.

Sometimes I watch the news and am reminded of a SNL skit. The truth is out there, just not in the news it seems.

It's not just Fox, it's all of them. It's entertainment now, not news reporting.

I view FOX as propaganda, right wing propaganda. There are hosts of many of their segments who outright lie and because I know there are a great deal of people who believe them without question I am forced to think their viewership has shit for brains. I tried to find a nice way to say that. Their ratings, in my opinion, only attest to the intellect of much of America.

You do a disservice to good journalists with that take and its strictly based on the propaganda we've been being fed over the last few years. Get your sources, question everything, but do NOT make the lazy mistake of saying they're all alike. They sure as fuck are not.

Yeah, Ok. You're living on another planet if you can't see it.
I'm perfectly capable of critical thinking, and have been for years. I can see bias clearly in different networks, which to me means they're all alike: spinning it as they see fit. They don't spin it all the same, but they all spin it. Fox, msnbc, cnn... their subsequent business networks, abc, nbc, cbs, pbs, etc. The where, when, what, who, and how part of news has been joined by opinion and ideology. From all sides. Good journalists are few and far between. |
