The 2013 Trivial, Boring Drivel Thread....
I like the boxed pudding as long as it's the cook and serve kind that you have to stand there and stir constantly, not the instant kind. Banana pudding with vanilla wafers is delicious, I'd be as big as I claim to be if I made that all the time.

That what she said - with vanilla wafers & slices of banana and she makes it in a trifle bowl.

My son's favorite dessert is icebox cake, he'd rather have that than birthday cake.

You take two large boxes each of vanilla and chocolate pudding (not the instant) and cook according to package directions. I think between all the pudding it takes 12 cups of milk. You need two boxes of graham crackers and line the bottom of a casserole pan with graham crackers, top with vanilla pudding and sliced bananas, top with more graham crackers, chocolate pudding and sliced bananas and continue in that order ending with a layer of graham crackers on top. Refrigerate overnight.

Yeah, my husband blames me for being fat, imagine that. I suppose I'm also responsible for his pot habit.

This is a recipe Duchess would like, it's really easy. I think I already posted it once, but it's worth posting again. If you don't like butterscotch, you can substitute chocolate chips, coconut, banana, crushed candy bars, whatever.

Butterscotch Bread Pudding

1 (10.75 ounce) loaf of white bread, torn into small pieces

4 cups milk

2 cups brown sugar

12 cup butter, melted

3 eggs, beaten

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

1 cup butterscotch chips

Directions

1.Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Butter a 9x13 inch baking dish.
2.In a large bowl, combine bread, milk, sugar, butter, eggs, vanilla and butterscotch chips; mixture should be the consistency of oatmeal. Pour into prepared pan.
3.Bake in preheated oven 1 hour, until nearly set. (It should have a "thigh wiggle" or wiggle as much as Ramsey's well endowed thigh.) Serve warm or cold.

My laptop is broken and my husband's (Windows 8) gives me that stupid "undefined" message when I post. I'm on our old desktop. This is not acceptable.

Now would be a great time to get a tablet, maybe an iPad or the comparable Kindle Fire 8.9.

My Kindle Fire is due to arrive today!!!

One good reason to buy a computer from CostCo; their 2nd year concierge service. I've had my laptop for about 14 months so I had to call their concierge service. HP promptly sent me a free new hard drive that I just installed. Smiley_emoticons_smile Now I'm loading all the files which is taking for freaking ever.

Yay! Love025

Did you get the 8.9? You're going to love it! I researched mine half to death before I bought it. It absolutely is comparable to the iPad without having to spend the extra bucks.

I know it's weird but I wanted one without a camera. Consequently I bought the inexpensive older version which I've read doesn't have a camera. It's just the plain Kindle Fire ($159).
