FLIPPING OFF LEO's IS CONSTITUTIONAL

Had this happen twice today:
Light turns green. Vehicle in front continues to pause... one mississippi. . . two mississippi. . .then they meander forward.

I know this really has nothing to do with this thread, but thought I'd share.

Were you on duty? Because if you beeped your horn they'd have the right to flick you off since they were using the 5 second rule at the light.

Do you ever get annoyed when you get behind someone and they do the exact speed limit, especially when it's 25?

No.
Not working today. In fact, have every weekend and court holidays off.
Just tooling around town running errands.
Trust me, the above behavior isn't going to break the bank on patience, but it is slightly annoying.
Kind of like the people who stop right at the foot of the escalator so as to get their bearings, but at the expense of those directly behind them.

I don't think I'm going to go out and test that law anytime soon. It may be legal but I also think it's pretty damn stupid.

If you change your mind and decide to invoke this 1^st amendment right while on the road, probably best not to launch the flip with the hand that's holding your phone.

Also probably best to do it on the way to the bar rather than during the return trip.

Definitely best not to exercise this freedom while holding your phone on the way home from the bar. It can defeat the purpose altogether, from what I've been told.

That was just a big misunderstanding. I left my wallet in my car and everybody inexplicably freaked out.

Seriously, I wouldn't flip off an LEO under any circumstances either, but agree that it shouldn't be a crime.
