Considering his record in post season play, not sure how confident that makes me. I would very much love to see the Broncos beat the Seahawks in the Superbowl but there's no guarantee either team will get there.Who'd have thunk it? Ah, don't hurt yourself patting your own back dude, they'll put in your backup. Saying he was going back in wasn't that big a stretch, and I'm not the only person who isn't at all sure they're better off with him in there. I would love to see Manning win one on the way out just like duchess, and the Broncos are my team no matter who's back there. I just hope the old boy can get past his wobbly arm and his own post season record to pull it off. meanwhiles, follow me to the new NFL thread for those of you not participating in the current post season. There's always next year. http://mockforums.net/showthread.php?tid=12295
Thank god I am oblivious to the opinions of others while caught in the blinding splendor of my own cleverness.

I am about 45 minutes from Charlotte and I insure a couple of retired Panthers. Personally I am so sick of Krispy Kreme, if I never see another doughnut it would be too soon.
He might be a huge show boater but Cam is also the real thing! He is smart, clean cut (well as far as most football stars are), funny, dresses kinda nice and kept the knowledge that his son was born during one of the best winning streaks ever! My faves of him are his mic'd up and the best ever was against the Redskins! http://dailysnark.com/cam-newton-micd-vs...s-amazing/ "Beautiful day to play football Doris" "How old are you? He is 12 years old. He gotta get an uber"

I do like Cam, and if my Vikes can't represent the NFC, I want the Panthers there.
His commercial from a couple years back where he's talking to the young boy at the park was great. I agree that he's clean cut, would appear to stay away from trouble and I love it when he hands out footballs.

MS, I've been listening to the NFL channel as I putter around and they are talking about the extreme cold out there and game time temps. It sounds bone chilling. They talked a little about how players manage and what they'll wear. It was kind of interesting because apparently there is the mental aspect as well as the physical.

It's currently 3F and the windchill is -15F.
Dropping to -10F tonight with a windchill in the -25F range. This stuff is brutal, but I've been reading about the various ways players can stay warm, including lubing their entire body with Vaseline. To your point about mental toughness. This cold requires it. Most people in this country haven't experienced this kind of cold. Players simply have to be mentally tougher than the guy lined up across from them.

Go Andy Reid! They had a great game! I hope Jeremy is okay. He looked a little teary when he left the game so I'm thinking he knows something we don't. He also looks like he's put on a lot of weight out there, he doesn't look as streamlined as when he left, he looks pudgy to me.

Let's do this!

Zimmer brought the Bengal curse with him. That crap Bengals game and that missed chip shot ruined my picks for the weekend.

27 yards.
Are you kidding me? Our house full of peeps were all thinking he could miss. That's the curse of being a Vikings fan.

We can't help our team love even when they fuck up. Do you blame the kicker? I feel sorry for him. He was very emotional in the locker room. He was sobbing and not the silent tears either :(

Prior to Walsh's 27 yard attempt with 26 seconds left, kickers in the NFL had successfully converted 189-191 attempts from 27 yards and in during the 2015 season.
That's a 98.59% ratio. So, while the laces were in toward the kicker, Walsh had made 3 previous kicks during the game (including a 46-yarder with the laces in). I can only chalk it up to the curse of the Vikings.

Everyone nationally, and guys I know, don't think Denver stands a chance. I think that bodes well for the Broncos. They can relish the role of 'nobody believes in us'. Can Denver protect Manning and can they pressure Cam enough? Two vital questions. Also, the Panthers are a different team when they're not playing with the lead. I feel it's imperative that Denver gets off to a good start or I think they'll get steamrolled like the Seahawks and Cardinals. |
