I'm so happy they got the little boy out safe and sound, what a nightmare!

I am so furious about this Dykes fellow killing the bus driver, why?

Why was he after children on the bus? what was Dykes story? what was eating away at him to cause him to patrol his property at night with a flash light? why the year 2013? he was 65 years old, was he on heavy duty stress medicine here, we need a story, if we could get a story possibly we could prevent this type of thing from happening again.

I have some of the same questions. I wonder if maybe a reporter did step up or offered to step up and maybe law enforcement or officials didn't allow them to take the place of Little Ethan. I want to imagine or think that a reporter would want to have freed that little boy at any cost but i am sure that no one would want to die. That would probably have been the end result because once the story is taken and recorded or written down then that would be that, what did Dykes have to lose at that point, imo. I also want to know why he went on the bus and demanded two boys between the age of 6-8, i believe it was. Why did he want the two boys of that age. Has there not been any letters or anything to indicate why he did this or any of this or what led up to this. No one from his past that can step forward to shed some light, there has to be something. It is definitely a sad story to know that he killed the bus driver, especially knowing the bus driver so intending to give Dykes some homemade goodies, i think it was yard eggs and marmalade.

I didn't know exactly what yard eggs was so i Googled it, don't take the urban dictionary definition. i don't think that was what the bus driver intended to give him, or maybe it was but i highly doubt it! I figured i could give a good guess as to what a yard egg was but i didn't want to assume so i want to find out what it was, now i will be forever changed by urban dictionary's definition.

I worry with the underground bunker and each crazy/wacked out person trying to out do the next person that this may become a more common occurrence. I don't like to use the phrase more common occurrence but school shootings seem to happen on a monthly basis if not more frequently and with much of the country, mid-west and south affected by tornadoes i could see this type of thing becoming more and more frequent for those that decide to take this action.
