I must say MS is pretty good at picking them. The Denver game was close though.
He ain't heavy, he's my brother.

Monday mornings are always so much nicer after winning the day before. *sigh*

He fell out of favor with coach Schiano (who's kind of a dink I think). Anyhoo, we're taking a flyer on him. Hard to see this being a real risky move.

Chiefs still gotta play my Broncos twice.
Thank god I am oblivious to the opinions of others while caught in the blinding splendor of my own cleverness.

Peyton is a machine, as far as I am concerned he can do no wrong. He spanked my team in a serious fashion but it was expected. I could hardly believe that the Cowboys were going tit for tat with them. I really needed Dallas to lose but by only a field goal was making me nauseous.

I'm only caring about my division. It's probably the suckiest one in the NFL this year. I'm in a tie for first place & we've only had two wins. Sucky Sucky Sucky.

The Broncos aren't invincible and I'm kinda glad Dallas nearly showed them up. But Manning is on a mission and has something to prove to a whole world full of doubters. Especially of they live in Indiana. I feel almost sorry for anyone facing them this year. Plus, keep in mind they're missing key defensive players right now. When that part is fixed you won't be seeing that sort of resistance. It is fun to watch...

I have a great deal of respect for his skills. When he came back last year I thought it was a really poor decision, I actually worried for his well being. I'm so glad he proved me wrong. I don't normally have kind things to say about those who put a beatdown on us but he's the exception to the rule. I think he's brilliant.

The only thing worse for a football player than looking across the field and seeing a Manning lined up against you is seeing a pissed-off Manning. I would expect some Giants opponents to be similarly surprised pretty soon. That family is scary good.

We played the Giants last Sunday & when the camera panned the Giants & their fans I couldn't even look at them. I could feel their disappointment and I don't want to be having any compassion for that damn team. They are the enemy.

FQ2, the Colts are planning a tribute to Peyton when he returns in a couple weeks with his new team. Is he still beloved there?

It seems like every 'tossup' game I pick, I get wrong.
I'm becoming irritated with picking, but, I would like to do it the entire season just to see how I end up. Week 6 picks (last week: 7-7, 38-39 overall) CHI over NYG: Not easy to pick the Giants until they win. Bears are still pretty decent. As long as they take care of the ball, they should win. MINN over Car: Well, I've picked Carolina to win many of their games (which they've lost), now I'm going against them. Funny. Cincy over BUFF: Litmus test for Cincy. The Bills are pretty good, but the Bengals should be better. Det over CLEVE: Can the Lions win on the road? Hard to go against the Browns now, but I've got a gut feeling (not gas) that De-troit wins. KC over Oak: Raiders usually lose after posting an impressive win. At least that's my theory. NYJ over Pitt: My goodness, can the Steelers and Giants both be winless in October? Yikes. TAMP over Philly: Bucs get off the schneid. DeSean talking smack about Revis doesn't help. GB over Balt: Pack lays the beatdown on the Ravens. Not even close. StL over HOU: Schaub doesn't even want to show up on Sunday, and the Rams finally won last week. DEN over Jax: Why are they even playing this game? I know, "On any given Sunday..." Um... not THIS Sunday. SEA over Tenn: Russell Wilson is 11-0 at home as a starter so far in his career. Add another 'W' here. NO over NE: Game of the week IMO. Down to the wire, but the Saints find a way to win. Again. SF over Ariz: Cardinals heading into the tank, and the Niners making their move. DALL over Wash: Cowboys bounce back from last week's Romo 'giveaway special'. SD over Indy: Chargers pull off the mild upset.

...and there is nothing wrong with DeSean talkin' shit, we WANT to get in their heads.
