What is Maggot doing in Florida? Hopefully he's not stranded out on an airboat tour.

I went there because my Mom had a stroke and was found unconscious on the bathroom floor by my sister. She was rushed to the hospital and they wanted last rites, a ventilator and for my sis to sign a do not resuscitate order she was crying and was really upset. I said no to all 3 and would be there on the next plane. She improved 50% and was barely talking when I got there. After a week of being there she was able to move her arms and legs and use a walker. She now has a visiting nurse, meals delivered every day and a physical therapist.
The lesson here is never go by what some doctor says right away, get a second opinion and have faith. She may only live another year but she will live and with some kind of quality and not in a nursing home. She's a tough bird that's for sure.

My sister comes up a couple times a year I have not seen my Mom or my brother in 3 years. Works seems to always get in the way. Maybe that will change this year though as I wind down my workload and push for part time. I want to retire at 55. 3 more years. Then I can pursue my hobbies more.

Good to hear your mom is doing ok Maggs, hope she continues to improve, rapidly.

Anyway, Geckos tails do in fact rip off when they are pecked on by hungry birds, and or tugged on when trying to catch them if they get into the villa. They keep getting bigger & bigger, faster, & faster, some even seem to have mutated with SNAKES, (I HATE SNAKES) and have SNAKE like head, (I HATE SNAKES) and round body, but still have legs. Fugly Uckers!

The weather there now this time of year can be/is nasty, that's why we head back north mid May. But if you can find some time, you still can hit the beach, that is, when it's not raining.
