Very sad story, Love Child.

^ Deputy Daniel A. McCartney. Rest in peace.

Dispatchers could hear screaming and scuffling on the 911 call, police said.

McCartney rushed to respond to the home on a wooded street in Frederickson, about 15 miles southeast of Tacoma.

One of the home invasion suspects, a white male, was shot dead by police as he tried to escape the scene. The other, a black male, escaped on foot and is reportedly still on the loose. I hope they catch him soon.

My mom lives near here, this is the area I grew up. I always hate hearing about incidents near there, I worry about her safety and sometimes her sanity-she has been known to confront people, which makes me laugh but also concerns me.
This is a very tragic story indeed. It makes me sad, only 34 years old. It is terrible.

Good news; LE has arrested the suspect that got away on foot.

Police didn't even realize he was the second armed invader and initially arrested his sorry ass near the scene on an unrelated drug crime warrant. His name is Frank Pawul, 32 (pictured below).

[Image: Frank%20Pawul_1515460151442.png_10426738...40_360.jpg]

It's pretty easy to see why police didn't put two and two together initially, considering they were on the lookout for a black male.

The other suspect, Henry Michael Carden, 35, was found dead at the shooting scene. The Medical Examiner confirmed his identity Monday night.

How did they get the 2 descriptions so fucked up? I don't understand. I guess I will have to read the article.
I guess people in the area were all saying "Lock your doors" fucking-everyone locks there doors down there, even during the day when they are home.

Well,
Except for Soobie Yoo of course!

Soobie Yoo, a 32-year-old who lives less than two blocks from the scene, woke up when she saw flashing lights outside her window.

She never heard the shots and said she was surprised when she finally learned what happened.

“It’s a pretty safe neighborhood,” Yoo said, pointing out that she left her garage door open while walking to the scene. “... There are a lot of kids in the area.”

I haven't seen an explanation as to why the suspect description was so far off yet.

But Pawul's attorney is using the mismatch to his advantage. He claimed in court that it's evidence that police may have the wrong dude.

Also, a third person was arrested. She is a 52-year-old woman who drove the two armed home-invaders to the crime scene and reportedly knew what they were planning to do. She hasn't been publicly identified yet, as far as I know.

All Three Suspects in the Washington Deputy Murder Now Identified

These are the two suspects who invaded a residence at gun point, to which Deputy Daniel McCartney responded and was killed in the line of duty. It appears to have been drug-related.

[Image: suspects.jpeg?quality=85&strip=a...;strip=all]
Pawul is in custody and, I suspect, will never spend another day outside of incarceration. Carden, it turns out, was not shot by police during their pursuit of him. He instead chose to blow his own brains out.

^ Brenda Troyer assisted Pawul and Carden; she allegedly knew their plan and drove them to the scene. She is also in police custody. Troyer was supposed to be the getaway driver, but left when she heard police sirens, investigators said.

Pawul was charged today with murder, kidnapping and unlawful possession of a firearm in the death of Deputy Daniel McCartney. Pawul’s bail was set at $5 million.

Troyer was also was charged with murder and kidnapping. Her bail was set at $2 million. It won't surprise me if investigators eventually lower the charges against her in turn for her cooperation and testimony against Pawul.

Follow-Up to Post #300 - California

This fuckhole, Luis Bracamontes, 37, admitted to killing Sacramento-area officers Danny Oliver and Michael Davis Jr. in October 2014.

[Image: 48358CCF00000578-5281807-image-a-22_1516238000623.jpg]

During his trial on Tuesday, he was smiling and laughing and told the court, 'I wish I could have killed more of those motherfuckers, I will break out soon, and I will kill more, kill whoever gets in front of me.'

These outbursts caused Judge Steve White to send the jury out of the courtroom. The judge ruled that the trial will continue, despite Bracamontes' defense attorney's attempts to have him ruled incompetent to stand trial.

Bracamontes is in the United States illegally and had been arrested and deported multiple times prior to his murderous rampage in October 2014.

This thread has been neglected over the last few weeks due to time constraints. Working on catching up...

Richardson, Texas
[Image: police-officer-david-sherrard.jpg]
^ Police Officer David Sherrard was shot and killed while responding to a disturbance at an apartment complex at 4250 East Renner Road.

As officers arrived on scene they located a man, Rene Gamez, suffering from a gunshot wound outside of the apartment. Gamez later died. The officers were able to identify an apartment where the suspect was located.

As they made entry into the apartment the man opened fire, striking Officer Sherrard in the neck. Officer Sherrard was transported to Medical City Plano where he succumbed to his wound.

[Image: 1518130776-mccall.JPG?auto=format&am...;amp;w=350]
The suspect, Brandon McCall, 26 ^, barricaded himself inside of the apartment for several hours before surrendering. He is charged with capital murder of a police officer. He is not charged with his friend Gamez's death (not clear as to why not).

Officer Sherrard had served with the Richardson Police Department for 13 years. He is survived by his wife and two daughters. Rest in Peace.

Ohio

Two police officers in a city near Columbus, Ohio, were shot and killed Saturday while responding to a 911 hangup call involving potential domestic abuse, the authorities said.

^ Officers Eric Joering, 39, and Anthony Morelli, 54, had responded at 12:10 p.m., eight minutes after the 911 call, about a “potential domestic situation.”

“As they went into the apartment they were immediately met with gunfire, and both officers were shot,” Chief Morbitzer said at a news conference on Saturday afternoon. He paused several times to choke back tears.

Officer Joering, a 16-year veteran of the department, died at the scene. Officer Morelli, a 29-year veteran, was transported to the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus in critical condition and later died. Officer Joering had a wife and four daughters, and Officer Morelli had a wife and two children. Rest in peace.

^ The suspect, 30-year-old Quentin Smith, was shot and wounded by the officers and taken to Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in critical condition Saturday, a Westerville city spokeswoman said. The hospital would not provide updates on his condition Sunday.

Police had been called to the home more than once before Saturday's fatal visit.

Alabama

Mobile Police Officer Justin Billa was gunned down on Tuesday night when murder suspect Robert Hollie, 72, opened fire on authorities after barricading himself in his home. He leaves behind a wife and a one-year-old son.

Billa, who had been on the force for two years and was once named police officer of the month, later succumbed to his injuries in hospital.

Hollie, who was wanted for murdering his ex-wife, was found dead inside his home two hours after the standoff began. It is not yet clear if Hollie died when one of the officers returned fire or if he took his own life.

In July 2017, Officer Billa was interviewed by WALA-TV for a segment on the police force's relationship with community members.

He spoke about his intentions as a police officer and goals for the force as a whole. 'We need to go back to helping people instead of just taking them to jail and creating bigger problems,' he said. That's my ideal of good policing and I feel like that's what the chief is working toward.'

Rest in Peace.
