I have fought insomnia a couple times and let me tell you that SUX.
I have always been a night owl, but the last 2 years or so I have had a very hard time staying asleep. I think I got fucked up about 6 years ago and its been touchy ever since.
Anyway, the only thing I have found to take that seems to have No side affects is some stuff called "Sleep Essentials"
It doesn't knock you out, no grogginess, no dragging ass, none of that. It just help you Stay asleep.
Its cheap and all natural stuff and it works for me

Thanks:

User, my daughter gave me 2 Unisom tabs, she used them and said they work the best. I have not used them yet, as I'm really hesitant to have to rely on "stuff" to sleep the rest of my life. Currently, reluctantly, using ZzzzQuil sleep aid, or vodka, and they work, but . . . . . .

Ms D: I have no connections. hah

Six: checking out the link.

I need to slow down my million thoughts when trying to fall asleep, "in the middle of the night"! When I first lay down, I'm out as soon as my head hits the pillow. Unfortunately, 3 or so hours later after I get up, that's when the problems begin.

If you try the Unisom, start with one tab. Actually, Six reminded me that melatonin has worked for me in the past (3mg is one of the ingredients in the supplement he posted). I don't know about all the other stuff in there but melatonin in and of itself works for some.

I could sooooooooooooo easily get some pot (I know this after my recent visit to S.F.). If I had any problems, HotD would hook me up. Right Hottie?

Anyway, one of these days I'm going to give that a go. The whole reason I largely stopped smoking the stuff was because it put me to sleep...in a restaurant one time (there I was, head on the table, while my husband and friends all enjoyed their dinner). Nice of them to wake me up to go home as opposed to leaving me there I suppose.

One of the reasons I don't smoke it is because it puts me to sleep too. In fact the only time I'll smoke it is at night when I'm near my bed.

My friend told me to not to go to sleep till 4 am, so when I get up at 7 am it's not so early! hah

Friend? That's really fucked up advice.

The "words" alone on the screen, didn't, couldn't show the big "smile" on his face when he laughingly said it.

Cars, maybe if you simply start having a drink or two before bed that may help you to stay asleep.

Well last night, reluctantly I took my tried & true ZzzzQuil and it worked.

But I really don't want to have to continue to rely of "stuff" to sleep.

(At the end of month, I'm seeing a sleep doc)

And what do you think he's going to do, sing you a lullaby? He's going to prescribe you something that you're going to have to rely on to sleep. Probably something even more addictive than the OTC stuff.

Unless of course you're going to one of those Chinese doctors that do the laser or acupuncture therapy. That might be worth a shot.

Actually, I am hoping he will be able to help me clear my mind of all the shit that I can't get out of my mind that keeps me awake.
(it's worth a shot, can't hurt, I'm up for anything (besides taking "stuff") that might work)

Clang, I think teddies went out in the 80's. Try a cute pair of boy shorts & a cami.
