I watched! That looks so good. *drools*  I am seriously famished and I can almost smell it cooking.

It looks so confusing! I thought it was going to be a meatless dish! It looks tasty tho.

My sister made a cauliflower roast for herself since she is vegetarian. It had olive oil and all of the things you would put on a turkey like rosemary, garlic, salt and pepper etc etc and it was really tasty!

@Maggot my other sister makes a killer cranberry sauce, or chutney as she calls it. Sooo good.

@Clang I don't judge you for doing that. The churches probably have enough and I'm sure you put a $ or 2 in some basket somewhere......
Plus you are doing it for your brother, so it makes sense.

Havent put money in a Church basket in years but I'm always giving money to the homeless when I can, I usually buy Ed lunch and/or dinner every weekend, I just loaned a friend $60, and I gave the Salvation Army bell ringer $5 last week so things sort of balance out.

I think Clang still believes in God.
Mostly. Until I make a bad or wrong decision.

I'm really not. That's just what people think because I'm a quiet, way too nice person.

Like Stu from The Hangover, I have a demon in me. People just seem to overlook, ignore, forget about my loneliness, anger....my darkside. Maybe I need to let it out to play more often.

Whoa there, Clang, I'm afraid I can't let this slide. You see, libs don't have a dark side. Nuh-uh! It's the cons that are plagued with evil and darkness, and only the cons -- but never ever the libs!

Not sure why I have to explain this to you, seeing as how it's the number 1 principle of liberalism (the only principle, really).

Have yourself a wonderful evening, lil' buddy!  Blowing-kisses

I recommend reading "Don't take your life personally" by Ajahn Sumedho.
It talks about acknowledging ones dark side. I bet even some liberals have read it
But this is a thread about Thanksgiving, so I'll stick to that.

Yes, let's get back to the Thanksgiving topic. I'm having a great long vacation. Can't believe I still have today and Monday off before I go back to work. It's nice sometimes to to be extra lazy but I'm going to try and get some productive stuff done tomorrow like cleaning my apartment and have some bills that are a little overdue to make out. Need to make a long overdue doctor's appointment Monday. So much turkey and ham. I still have at least 6 meals left. I think I'll see if my friends want some of them.

Nobody needs a church to believe in God.

Religion can be antithetical of spirituality -- and usually is.

So what are you thankful for this time around? Anything in particular?
