Misc. cases I
(12-08-2011, 04:10 PM)1belle Wrote: LC is it possible for them to lift fingerprints from a cell phone that was found in water?

after all this time i doubt it. and if the surface is real smooth as it appears, prints may not adhere. that water is likely salt and fresh mixed (brackish) & somewhat corrosive.
IF her ex's prints were on it, it is easily explained anyway.
or it could have been wiped, then tossed over the side of bridge.

LC - Did they give a timeframe of the LAST ping? Because they gave a timeframe of Dale Smith's evening, and how he was at his parents by this time....?
Reply
her phone last ping was Nov. 17, 8 PM near Belle Isle. i don't know exactly where he was at that time.

A full scale ground search for missing mother Michelle Parker has been launched in east Orange County this morning.

Orlando police and Orange County deputies are among those searching fields and woods for Parker. Law enforcement officers are using All-Terrain Vehicles to search for clues in the case.

That is very interesting that her phone "pinged" at 8 pm. I am curious to find out what Dale's lawyer has to say about that "timeframe".

Has his parents made any statements to the public at all?? I have not seen pictures or anything that they have helped with the search or even have been at the command post?

In an interview on the Today show I heard Michelle's sister say there had been no contact between the families, that they hadn't even offered to help hand out fliers when this all began.

That's sad, that is the mother of their grandchildren, even if they didn't like her, you would think they would help in the search for their grandbabies mother.

They haven't helped as they know what happened, they know what their son is capable of or what Dale Sr is

WESH

Law-enforcement dive teams looking for clues in the disappearance of Michelle Parker are searching a canal behind a home owned by the father of suspect Dale Smith II.

Divers have been searching the small canal that runs behind 6806 Chaucer Lane in the Sky Lake subdivision this afternoon.

Orange County property records show the home is owned by Dale W. Smith.

The property where the current search is taking place is not the same location where a SWAT team executed a search warrant last month. The earlier search took place at Smith's parent's home on Rose Boulevard.

Neighbors say the home on Chaucer Lane is occupied by the elder Smith's sister.

slide show of search here, good overview:

yes, i posted that pic right above. rumor has it they may have found some clothes.

Underwater Recovery Team truck is dive gear and a place for divers to change in private. sometimes it contains a decompression-type chamber.

13News
People gathered at The Barn in Sanford for a benefit truck pull and auction. Parker worked at The Barn and didn't show up for her shift Nov 17., the day she disappeared.

Relatives from Parker's father's side of family gathered to talk to News 13 about their missing loved one, and what the community has done for them.

"We are extremely proud of how supportive and strong our family is," said Jennifer Gainor, Parker's cousin. "But not just even our family, strangers that have now become part of our family. I can't say thank you enough -- but thank you."

"This is only part of my family," said Parker's father Brad Parker. "We won't give up until we find her."

there was no official search today, saturday.

SANFORD --

Michelle Parker's family said they are not losing hope, and now it helps to spend time with the missing Orlando woman's kids.

Parker's mother, Yvonne Stewart, finally got to see her twin grandchildren over the weekend. She said she wants to remain an active part of her grandchildren lives and is thrilled an agreement has been reached. She said she has had very little contact with the kids since Parker went missing.

Attorney Matt Morgan, who is representing Parker's family, spoke to Fox Sunday night:

We were able to come to an agreement in regards to the visitation, regarding the grandchildren. Yvonne is spending the evening decorating the Christmas tree with the children, and she's, you know, beyond happy to be with them right now.

The whole family, Lauren [Erickson, Parker's sister], spent time with them today, and everyone's very happy right now.

Parker's 3-year-old son and daughter had been staying with their father, Dale Smith II, since their mother dropped them off with him on November 17. She has not been seen since.

Orlando police have called Smith their prime suspect in Parker's disappearance, but he has not been arrested or charged in the case.

Parker's family said the children do not know their mother has not been seen for nearly a month. Family members have told the kids that their mother is on vacation.
