Johnny S. Clarke & Lisa Straub- young Ohio couple murdered
(02-06-2011, 01:26 AM)Lady Cop Wrote: that's why i think it IS personal. i said this about 873 pages ago. hah

they covered their faces because they KNEW them. this was up close and personal. they felt badly on some level. murder was not planned so they used what was on hand. they went there for drugs, not to kill. but it all went bad. who the fuck arms themselves with plastic bags? please. not exactly sure-fire weapons.

just my opinion.

cool avatar Jane! i just saw it.

You have the experience so I respect that. You mean personal not in a vendetta way but merely because they knew the victims. That makes sense (on some level). So, you think it was robbery gone wrong, they ran into Johhny & Lisa, unexpectedly, panicked and killed them?

i'm also curious about the key with the #544 found under her body, as well as the centeral security documents.

LC you can probably best explain as to why if the bodies were discovered on 131 why wasn't it until 24 that a search of the home was conducted, could any evidence be potentially tampered with during that time?

I'm glad you brought those things up. I wondered about them when I read it but forgot about it.

I thought the key sounded significant. And, what the hell are central security documents, anyway? Does that refer to a home security system? Better writing at the newspaper would have explained that. I also don't know what interband pants are. I Googled and got nothing. It sort of sounds like she may have been strangled with them.

this is pure speculation but going back to the key found under the body and central security documents on the kitchen counter, i looked it up and there is a home security company that services that area. So i'm assuming the papers were how to work the alarm system in the home. Now why they were found on the counter, one can only speculate...

now combining that with the key and reported drug involvement, would it be too far fetched to think maybe they had an off-site storage unit where they either carried out drug deals and/or stored the drugs...considering they did live with her parents it would be difficult to carry out "deals" at the home. This also might explain why they were picking up T, possibly to go to the storage unit...it's been reported she's a heroin user, who knows maybe she's a dealer too.

By NO MEANS have I a personal involvment with ANY of them, THANK GOD! But entirely too close to home to rest easy until some of the questions out here are answered!

I can understand that. Very scary stuff!

I say Tiffany is in deep shit. OPINION ONLY.

ZEROSPHERES - That post is also a lot of speculation but the part about hate resonates for me. It would not fit if it was a set for theft, though. If it was a set up to rob the house, then the people sent were seriously hard core to have committed those killings.

Damn, I could never be a detective.

I don't think I could either, lol. This case has struck a chord with me, though, & I can't seem to get it off my mind. Suffocation would be a terrifying, brutal way to go, I would think.

I'm glad these things were brought up also! Wish we knew more about this key! It's possible what you mention about a storage box/facility, of some kind. It's all very puzzling, that's for sure. I also think, as someone mentioned above, the pants were used to strangle Lisa. They were said to have been laying under her head/neck. Sort of leads me to believe she may have been strangled first, into unconsciousness,THEN the bag put over her head & duct taped to her neck. Maybe? I don't know!

Tiffany's FRIEND called the mom. When the mom went to the scene, Tiffany was there and that's where Tiffany speaks to the 911 operator.

Once again, during that 911 call, the mom accuses Tiffany of setting Johnny up. I've got a hunch that his mom has some street smarts and she was right. I said this earlier - Tiffany was involved in a set up and went to check out the scene, later, not expecting murder.

Now, here's the part I can't fathom - the duct tape and bags over the heads. Of course, I'm not a psychopath, so there's a lot I can't fathom. What does it mean that they were killed that way? Speculation .... Robbers didn't have weapons and resorted to what happened. It just seems like a stretch. Then again, lots of crimes do. If it went down like that then it means it was NOT personal. I don't know. I have no "feel" for the truth of it.

No, Tiffany picked up the hubby, Johnny's father and the two of them drove over there. The Mother stated she was home with the other children, and asked for Medical assistance from the dispatcher. Later the Mother drove over there with her cousin whom she stated was in the Military. Tiffany, and the hubby was there apparently because the Mother stated that she'd blocked her in, and gave the dispatcher T's tag number. I agree with Ladycop that killlers who know their victims will usually cover their faces. I'm not sure in this case, does anyone know if the bags was clear or opaque? Also does anyone eles find it suspicious that the Mother states T told her that the cabinets had been ransacked? To me this is very telling.

lol @the cartoon. I suppose the guy bent over the body was supposed to be the criminal. I say he's neither the criminal nor a detective but he did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

OH fuck yes! That was one of the first things i said when hearing about the way she describes the events unrolling. You drive by a house and can tell its ransacked....again, put that sense of DANGER out there so that someone would respond , so maybe these kids wouldnt be dead before someone got in, induce panic!

you're right! I forgot about the mother stating all that! This is where I flip-flop on T. How could she have seen inside the house, when it took John's father lifting the cousin up, to peek inside a window? Haven't heard anything about what type/color bags were used on them, though...Wasn't it reported there were "pieces of white plastic bags" on the floor or countertops? I need to go read that again, I guess.

I've gotta listen to those 911 tapes again (don't want to). I'm not clear on if Tiffany went by the house more than once. I know this much: If I were a detective I would be zeroing in on her. IMHO, she knows the killers.
