Lady Cop,

dumb as a stump. i said that back at the very outset also. tape is just a wonderful medium to collect prints and DNA. and tough to work with tape with latex gloves. leather gloves maybe.

and we have no idea what Lisa would or would not have chosen to wear.

Where did you hear there was a basement? And don't say Maytee told you Smiley_emoticons_fies

lol, well Maytee DID tell the 911 dispatcher that Johnny was tied up, in the basement ?

Perhaps the perpetrator had been abused as a child in a kitchen.

is that the rumor you heard?

That was an answer to Dick's question regarding an idea why they
were killed in the kitchen.

Johnny and Lisa pulled the car into the garage and left the garage door open, since they figured they would be leaving soon.

Johnny and Lisa were on the phone with Tiffany when Johnny said he was walking out the kitchen door that connects to the garage, along come the intruders.

The altercation takes place immediately in the kitchen and they are killed. If this is what happened, then they were killed as soon as the intruders came in, which means this is not a "robbery gone bad".

they still could have been there seeking the "safe". but imagine...Johnny grabs a knife when he sees the danger and life or death struggle ensues.
i still don't believe murder was the intent. but it escalated. so they used what was at hand, household items.

i may well change my thinking when more details emerge from LE. but that was my initial reaction when it was first reported.

Ok, I got you LC, but was there not a news article that said that the Straub family said the tape was not from their home?

Correct me if I am wrong.

And like someone else on here said (sorry, can't remember the name that many posts back) why in the world would you bring tape to a robbery? To tape your bags shut? No.

toledo native: i agreed with you on the "why bring duct tape?" (if it indeed was stated that they thought it was brought to the scene... which i also recall reading although it's hard to remember where it was or who said it). i have said i can maybe see bringing bags to carry things away but the duct tape just doesn't jive in my opinion. the response by many was that it was possibly brought "to secure lisa and johnny" which makes sense. EXCEPT that if it was indeed someone they knew who was there to rob them, i don't see them taping them up while they took what they wanted and then leaving them alive and able to ID them to police etc.
so to me... bringing both the bags and the duct tape to the scene screams intent to kill (seeing that that was how they were killed). UNLESS we find either
1. that the bags and tape were not brought to the scene and rather found there and used in a pinch as things escalated as LC suggests.

2. it wasn't someone who knew them

3. that maybe it was someone who knew them but was going to try to keep it so they couldn't be ID'd (masks or blindfolds etc).

* i guess it's also possible judging from all the "no snitching" threats and nonsense some of these people throw around that they were just planning on threatening them to keep them from telling anyone they'd robbed them.

(sorry if this doesn't make sense).

I feel the same way you do in this, except you would have to be down right STUPID to take and use tape at a crime scene. It will perfectly collect everything the police need to prove you did it.

Now...who is stupid enough to do that? How about Tiffany's dumb ass crew! These are the people who post on public pages on facebook that they are going to "so-and-so's house" to buy drugs, call their little WHITE baby boy "nigga" and post their phone number (Tiffany did) on a public facebook page.

Here's where you all got me thinking...

Tiffany said she did not hear Lisa's voice in the background when Johnny was arguing and hanging up the phone.

Was she, in fact, upstairs changing out of her work clothes? This would make sense. Did she start to change, hear Johnny downstairs and come running down with these pink and black pants that were found under her?

Would she wear pink and black interband pants?? And what are they anyway?

Interband pants are pants/leggings that alternate colors in stipe form i.e.; black-pink-black-pink

I doubt Lisa would wear something like that, judging from all the pics I've seen of her. Her "gangsta" friends wouldn't be caught dead in that, no pun intended.

So many just weird things collected from the crime scene. Like the pants, the key (leaving a key behind could be damning evidence), PIECES of white bags, tape.
HELLO! TAPE! That stuff grabs all DNA, hair fibers, clothing fibers. You'd have to be an idiot gangsta wannabe to use tape at a crime scene.

Lady Cop,

How smart would it be to use tape at a crime scene?

Just a thought, the puppy could have easily torn up the bags into pieces

In this case, I don't think we're dealing w/some mastermind killers. I think that they(killers) got lucky & didn't get caught at the scene.
It's the hint of arsenic that gives it that extra kick.

Here is another thing I struggle with.

Growing up in the same area as Tiffany's posse and judging by what Donald (Tiffany's exboyfriend did, was involved with, pics he's taken), I know that people will rob their friends without killing them. They will do it by having people do it that the victim does not know. Donald robbed some people at gunpoint and did not shoot anybody (which is why he got shot the fuck up).

Now will they kill? Could happen but it would only be if the stakes were super high; he owed someone a TON of money, he got a huge shipment of drugs, etc.

To find out if the bags and tape definitely did or did not come from the Straub household, would be a gold mine.

THIS GOES OUT TO TIFFANY'S CREW AND ANYONE INVOLVED:

CALL CRIMESTOPPERS OR YOUR LOCAL POLICE, GET THAT $$$ CHECK $$$, CASH IT, PUT THE MONEY IN AN ACCOUNT OF ONE OF YOUR RELATIVES (INCASE YOU END UP HAVING TO DO A LITTLE TIME), AND DO ALL THIS BEFORE THE DNA RESULTS COME BACK AND THE ARREST IS MADE.

YA'LL ARE GOING TO MISS OUT ON THAT MONEY, HOMIES!!

Crimestoppers doesn't pay you unless:

1. The information you gave is accurate and correct and does prove true

and

2. You have to actually call Crimestoppers, not your local police.

You don't get a reward unless you call that specific agency first with the information that leads to an arrest.

Give me a break! and the best thing Tiffany could come up with as to where her nigga was at during the murders was that he was working on a paper for school. Please! Maybe Tiffany's ass shoulda been at home doin the paper for school right next to her nigga and her pregnant ass wouldn't be suspect. Playa!

Thank you for that; I couldn't get any results when I plugged in the address. If you wouldn't mind, could you post the other floors of the house for reference?

Wondering if this has ever been addressed, if so please forgive.....

According to the Sheriff's Department the first crews responded to the residence at 1:21 a.m. and stayed for approx. 7 minutes....1:28 a.m.

The second call was dispatched at 2:08 a.m. and they stayed approx. 36 minutes, which would make it 2:44 a.m.

The third call, when the bodies were found, was at 3:50 a.m.

WHAT were the Clarke's and the cousin doing from
2:44 until 3:50 when the bodies were discovered.

As I see it, 1 hour and 6 minutes is unaccounted for.
Am I missing something??
