i only mention it because i know many are new to forums. this post will just fall in a random spot, not aimed at any one person.

ok. so for the computer virgin here i would just delete what isnt necessary or is there a button to use to get the most recent quote box? i hope i made sense???

yes. click on quote function at bottom of the other person's post. erase the extra superfluous stuff you don't need when your post box comes up.

Thanks LC and Duchess. One more annoying question. Usually what has been quoted appears in a red enclosed box separate from the new post. This makes it really easy to differentiate and read what is being quoted and what is the new post ( especially at a quick glance when I'm speed reading). But sometimes there are no red boxes. What's up with that? Again I hope I'm making sense!?

another thought I'm throwing out. It could be completely random or maybe not so much.
the weekend after the JC/LS murder the Toledo Blade printed an article, rather lenghty, about a "cold case" that occured in Morenci Michigan. It is a case that involves a home invasion type scenario in which the parents were both tied up, some things were stolen from the house and the mother was sexually assaulted (in the presence of her young son!) by three thugs.
Police feel that the family was semi-stalked, in so much that the house was in the country, they knew the family's routine, knew their names.... etc etc.
They stole the family's car but the did not kill the family.
there are no leads in this case (according to the newsmedia).
Morenci Michigan is about an hour away from Toledo.
I don't want to get bogged down with the details of the MI case, but I thought it was kinda wierd that they ran a front page "update" on the case, right after the JC/LS murder.
I am at work and can't access the Blade since they've upgraded their online version, sorry that I cannot post a link to the story that I"m referring to.

I"m wondering if the "other parts as well" statement from my friend is meant to read: in the master bedroom.

If that's the case yet the coroner stated death by asphyxiation with no other visible signs of trauma, where did all the blood come from, the perps? God let's hope so for DNA purposes.

Totally Curious comes up with scenarios that are quite imaginative.

LOL I will explain. Friends in Columbus got free dinner coupons
in the mail for the real ritzy restaurant in Cincinnati. They made
reservations, drove plus hours had a lovely dinner, drove 2 plus
hours back and found that someone had taken everything good
out of their house. The number on the coupon - that person
made the reservation and went in and paid the 300. ahead of
time. The perps did it six times before LE added it up. (all
different suburbs) If someone really wanted to rob the Straubs,
they could have "won" them a cruise. Just a funny thought. My
niece won a cruise from a bridal fair so it does happen

Thanks. Wow.

I know this is disrespectful....but I have to ask it....does
Maytee shave off her eyebrows and then draw new ones on?
Is this a common practice?

Its a very common thing where he in NM. Its very very *latina* or *hispanic*. Straight (not bangin) girls call it Chola, meaning like a gang girl. The first time I saw it in my life was when I lived in Florida and the Cuban and Puerto Rican girls did it. I next saw it in California, and now in NM. White girls who are *down* will do it to.
But to answer your question, its VERY common in hispanic women and even more common among girls (white or hispanic) that run with gangs.

And here you see a great example of the 'gang mentality'..."Maybe if I draw different eyebrows on, they won't know it was me that did the drive by!"

LOL< they look like DRIVE BY EYEBROWS, like somebody drew them on as they were driving by!! Smiley_emoticons_shocked

Does anyone have a link to the 911 phone call reporting having seen Johnny through the window?

AHA Now I bet the person who was looking for a basement
recalls that Maytee said she or her "military person" saw
Johnny in the basement.

I am still trying to figure out how they saw him but LE did not
UNLESS he was put there AFTER LE visited. Which we have
not discussed, right?

I dont think it's that uncommon to not hear about cases after the initial blitz of information and rumors here in Toledo.
I don't think that we (local people) would hear if someone is indicted by the grand jury, unless we have friends/family that are in the loop i.e LE, attnys, court personnel, etc. It *might* make the headlines in the news and that would be if the weather isn't bad, cause that's always the breaking news here (sigh!) ..and we're expecting storms this weekend!

I think we've discussed everything possible.. hah Maytee said the cousin had to be propped up to look into a window, where the blinds were cracked open a little. Idk why she said they were in the basement.

Everytime they get a lead on him hes gone. That is another rumor though. I would think if they really thought he was a suspect and it has been three weeks now they would have put something on the media " if you have seen this person" type of thing......I also keep thinking about the killer(s) shoes. For those of yo not from this area thatSunday it was very nice out... The snow had all melted from the sidewalks and it was fairly warm and sunny... they had to track stuff in on their shoes.... stuff on the floor of their car etc... they had to leave footprints in the blood. I recall a case on the show " Forensic Files" where it was solved by some leaves or seeds left at the crime scene from some sort of unusual tree... Fascinating!!

Lisa's ex BD has already been questioned

If its the one I think it is.....they were found sitting in their car, each shot once from behind.

Thanks Zero. The problem is the Toledo on the Move article only plays two of the tapes with subsequent calls to detectives. I hate the NG/JVM transcripts because they edit things out of order. I've found "ghosts" of the third call on the net but all the links are broken. I really would've been interested in hearing that third call for myself. Smiley_emoticons_slash
