Here's my stance. I think our troops deserve our utmost respect and support. Always. But I don't think that precludes questionning our involvement and motives in a given conflict. I think we have a certain responsibility to do that when we're potentially asking them to lay down their lives for us.

I look back at what was done to some of the Vietnam vets returning home--it was awful and never should have happened. But should we have been there? Isn't that a valid question?

Bottom line, I don't think one precludes the other. I think you can support the troops but also question the motives of our leaders. Otherwise, in that regard, we really are sheep.

Apparently, it didn't work. I'm paying over $4.00 a gallon now for gas. As an aside, we did get rid of a dicatator and install some democracy in that region. Was it worth it? Time will tell.
