Yes, let's encourage every ignorant redneck and crazy zealot to make the curriculum in public schools.

I said take it to school from home not bring it home from school. even though that could happen you know peer pressure is a real bitch.

can you imagine a kid saying no to robbing a store after school because of religion? fucked up don't think?

You dumbass. Every prisoner is a Reborn Christian, especially on Death Row. Emphasis on Reborn.

and your point is? that this is a bad thing?

Do they get released when they are reborn?

The point of being reborn? It means you were a Christian before you were a criminal. Then you got caught and you were a Christian again. Because Jesus forgives rape and theft and murder.

Maybe that is the problem. Maybe Jesus is too forgiving.

True story from my friend Hillary, 6th grade teacher:

"What is our satellite?" (Correct answer, the Moon)

Child says, "Urf." Hillary says, "Spell that, please."

Child says, "U R F. Urf."

Funny, but sad.

I believe it. Nothing surprises me about what comes through teachers classrooms any more. There is no way I'd be a teacher.

I'm working with a little one right now who has never been in a school and is pretty damn smart and clever. She is 4 now, and will never make it to school. But she spells better than some adults!

I think it's important for a child to have a religious foundation, but school isn't the place for it. It's fir that book lernin stuffs. Teaching religion and faith is the responsibilty and loving duty of the parents. Too much can go wrong otherwise. I joke about Fr Lyle and idiot hillbilly monkey boy with bladder problem, but it does illustrate how vulnerable minds can be easily convinced to drink the kool aid. Want religious teaching in school? Send to parochial school.

It has been a down hill slide ever since... Parents need to take charge and instill a decent set of values again. YES a loss of Christian values out there has definately contributed to much of what is going on to-day.

OK, this funny for a few reasons.

Love the Christian calling someone else a bitch. Very nice.

Also, I remember that lady. She was murdered. Feel better now?

Prima and Maggot, I would go to church with you. You are fine representatives of your faith and what I think of when I think of good Christian people. Yes, Prima, I know you are Christian even though you are Catholic, although nobody else in Georgia does.

The rest of you "Christians" need Jesus.

and then they do what? go to school to be confused? no teacher talks about Christian religion, they are not allowed to, but they can talk about islam, buddism, evolution, athieism, hinduism, paganism, wickin, and any other religion but christianity.

so much for an equal playing field.

you might as well figure that a kid with a christian foundation is on their own at school, because they will find no support from the system.

I guess it's all about the ism's I wonder what the definition of "ism" is?

I'm not catholic. I did dabble in episcopal churches but I was young and experimental. I don't study any particular denomination. The church I attend looks like a coffeehouse and is so laid back it's crazy. It's a joy to be there. Not a bore. I'll get pics tomorrow.

And Dick, when I'm at my actual keyboard and not typing on my phone I have a story for you about what I did when confronted with confusion in school. Too in depth to type here.

Wow.

First, it's Wiccan, and I think parents would shit if it was ever taught at school. Same with any religion. They can't even put up jack-o-laterns or have Halloween parties anymore because of people like you. As a result, there are no more Christmas parties, either. Don't even mention Easter break in a public school, it's Spring Break, because of the people who bitched about Halloween. Also, they offer a class on the Bible in most high schools. So you are talking out of your ass.

Please tell me how you teach World History or sociology without the mention of another religion? I would like to know. Teaching that other people have other religions is NOT the same as teaching religion. If your religion fears education of any kind, it is time to rethink your religion. Seriously.

"ism" is a suffix that denotes a characteristic belief, like racism or sexism. You don't seem to have a problem with either of those.

Evolution isn't a religion. It is a scientific theory. WTF is wrong with you? You lump that in with spiritual beliefs? You are too old to be that uneducated. That is willful ignorance.

I have explained it more than once. God wasn't banned from the schools. Teacher led prayer was banned. Because teachers are the authority figures in schools and they shouldn't display a preference for one religion over another. I know Baptists who think other Christians are going to Hell. Would you like them to teach that to the Methodist kids? Would you like the Pentecostal teachers to tell the kids who listen to music and wear jeans that they are going to Hell? Maybe speak in tongues when they are feeling the Holy Ghost? Would you like the Catholics to tell the kids they are going to Hell if they don't confess and say a hundred Hail Marys? There isn't ONE Christianity. Christians can't even agree. You don't think things through.

I know a hell of a lot more about this than you do. Consider it bragging if you want. It's OK to call me stupid and then a braggart if I am NOT stupid? WTF?

you said you could prove evolution, and now it's theory?

WTFIWWY?

evolution is taught in the schools, tell me what redeeming quality it has? tell me that it will help a kid make a right decision based on morality.

The bible is taught in public schools, you mean along with all the ism's I mentioned I'm sure you just decided to leave that out because it was unimportant to your position.

The bible is not taught in public schools, it's illegal unless it is taught along with every other religion around the world and the teacher don't make a mistake and teach anything about the bible as being real, it all has to be taught as theory.

By the way is evolution taught as an elective like religion? or is it taught in science class you know a mandatory class/ subject?

Oh well you tried.
