Katelyn Markham, 22. Ohio - missing/murdered

They would be searching from work toward home first the route she drove, the side roads and vacant places between work and home.

Interesting comment, Ima, but from all reports it looks like they are centering the search from her home. Maybe Observer can clarify here?

It is frustrating that nobody has said anything about where she was earlier in the day on the Saturday. Was she working? Who was she with? What was she doing?

It seems like she was a friendly person, and, therefore, probably had a lot of friends, but the only one that has spoken up is JC.

Double ended investigations are not unusual.

Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.

Why is that sad?

The reason I thought it was sad was, maybe if her Father hadn't moved out it may not have happened, could be someone knew he was moving out.
Father moving left Katelyn totally alone and some loner could have been watching her all along. I think women all alone should be extra careful now-a-days. Awhile back a young women in Toledo, Ohio was shopping at Kroger and some bastard followed her home to the apartments where she lived and accosted her. Katelyn's friends are saying she is real trusting maybe she was too trusting!

I would hate for any woman to get the idea that the only time she is safe is if a man is around. Women play the biggest role of all in their own safety, many women make dumb mistakes all the time & are victimized. It's kinda like women & birth control, when they aren't responsible & get knocked up it's the poor smucks fault for banging her, I never defend women in that instance either.

I read somewhere that Katelyn was also getting ready to move out. Why do you think that is sad? I recently moved away from my hometown and left my 24-year-old daughter in NJ and my 22 year-old son in Boston. Yes, it was hard to leave my family in NJ, but I also have a life that I need to live. My children know that they will always have a place to come, a room for them, no matter where I am.

Duchess, I think we were posting at the same time. I agree 100%. I hate the fact that woman are given the message that they are only safe if a man is around.

I'm not getting the impression the public and media are treating Mr. Clarke's statements as facts. There seems to be plenty of suspicion surrounding him. I find his story suspicious too and I'm confident LE is investigating it and him. They won't clear him until they are sure, imo. If they can't clear him, they probably won't name him a POI or suspect until they have time to gather more circumstantial or physical evidence to dispute his claims. For now, he is the only one making public statements about Katelyn's last known activities so that's what's available to the public and the media.

I have to agree with you he is a very bad actor, I was on the fb page for bring katelyn home yesterday and if you even mention anything about John being guilty or ask a question concerning john you will get jumped. This page seems to be run more by Johns family than katelyns. Any theory that involves John gets either attacked or deleted. No one wants to hear those theroies. He could have taken her cell phone and sent that pic to himself, then turned off the phone. There has not been 1 article where the police have stated that JC has passed a polygraph, only his family has said this. I wonder what HER family has to say.

All the kids in my neighborhood read the Twilight books. Some of the creepy Goth parents did, too. So I want to know if this person is in high school, of age, or just a middle-aged overweight woman trying to recapture youth with a stupid name and creepy avatar.

It's an honest concern.

Sooooo, you aren't a grown up? Are you at least 18 or are you a pimply-faced, death-obsessed teen? Because you should be outside playing with your friends.
