Bad stuff can happen in the time it takes to drink a Coke on the toilet...

I have to buy a laptop before Christmas, can't decide if it is worth leaving the house on Black Friday for one item...and if I'll get sucked into buying a few more good deals I see on the way. I hope I find a good one online and don't have to even fight the housewives...

Half price, LC, half price. I may check out Walmart at midnight, I really don't want to, but damn, half price on a laptop. That is tempting.

Black Friday is a BITCH and you will stand in the checkout line forever and ever, but gotdam, half price. I like paying what something SHOULD cost, not what they charge.

Some folks have to shop Black Friday. I see many retired people in line. We all chat.

Walmart has Ipads for $499. I bet the tablets will be cheap...

The electronics one starts at midnight. I'm not going to the other ones, but I may check that one out (at the big W, as much as I hate that place) for the one item I require to be done for the year...

Yay! I hope you got free super saver shipping!

Duch and LC, I'll keep my eyes open for those items. LC, if I find a steal on laptops, especially online, I'll let you know. I'm checking the Marine Corps exchange, too.

Kmart, believe it or not, sometimes has great deals on electronics because I don't think anyone shops there anymore...

Cracker..You are right. I purposly ordered a small ticket extra item in order to bring it over the $25 I needed to spend for the free shipping. Had the DVD shipped to a friend's house, Rick is worse than a little kid when it comes to wanting to know what is in a package.

I never ask for the things I'd really like to have because I think they cost too much. I just keep it to myself & lust for them year after year. hah

I refuse to go anywhere near a store this weekend. I hate crowds. On that other hand, I totally agree that Christmas is all about toys. I try to buy gifts that are not practical, but are something the receiver will love. My daughter wants both a slow cooker and a fondue pot. So I'll buy the fondue pot, because I know she will never buy it for herself. My sister is an author and loves to write, so I bought her a hand-crafted pen from one of my friends who makes pens and things as a hobby.

funny, you get a little older and wiser and even when you have the money, you are more careful about deciding between needs and greeds. like i used to lust after black pearls. now i know i don't need them. still like 'em. maybe Dick will put a few in my socks. hahaha

I heard on the news this morning that you can get the same prices on electronics about 2 weeks before Christmas as you can on Black Friday. I prefer to wait until Black Monday and shop in my Jammies at home. But...if you're going to WalMart, you too can shop in your jammies like the rest of the inbred hicks that are too fucking lazy to get dressed.

On the other hand...smoke some GOOD green before you go, and nothing or nobody will even come close to pissing you off, at least that's been my experience in the past.

My kids will get cash because that's what they want...along with a few small wrapped presents.
My Granddaughters are a whole other story 17
Jaelyn will be a little spoiled...not too bad though as she'll only be 4 months and doesn't have a clue. Aleyah will get a whoooole sleigh full of toys and then some from Gammaw. I have a reason to love Christmas again!!

Here's the Wallyworld ad for the laptop, LC. They may have it online that night, too: http://localad.walmart.com/Walmart/Entry...rt-111121A

I have heard that, as well, but do I want to take a chance? Someone has their heart set on a laptop.

Macys will have small appliances on sale on the dreaded day.
7 qt. slow cookers for $9.99 after $10 rebate...usually $29.99.
Not sure about a fondue pot as I was not looking for that.
