walking while black - Trayvon Martin
(06-02-2012, 02:43 PM)shitstorm Wrote: God, I am so sick of this story.

Why does it matter how much money Z had in a PayPal acct? Isn't he INNOCENT until proven guilty? Shouldn't his assets belong to him?

Everyone and I mean everyone involved in this is now interested in the money.

If I was Z I would give it all to my attorney and sit my ass in jail until this is all over.

He lied. His wife lied. Not cool at all. It is a chargeable offense when done in court, under oath. It is not about the $$$$. It is about misleading the court by lying.

People lie that's a simple fact of life.

The trial is now more tainted than it was, and a jury pool is less likely to be able to function as they should.

Next move by the defense will be a change of venue.

Bad idea when you're under oath.

Really? let's see was he under oath when he disclosed his finances?

were those disposable income finances?

were they donated funds for specific purposes? you do understand donated funds are most likely exempt from being called assets especially if they were donated for a specific purpose.

Edwards is getting away with it.

Actually it was done through O'Mara. Back on the 12th of April. O'Mara filed the bail hearing motion attesting to what Zimmerman had told him. Signed and filed with the court clerk. And presented at the bail hearing on the 20th. Where O'Mara put on quite a presentation.

Edwards was dealing with specific laws for campaign contributions.

Maybe this has something to do with Taaffe and his constituents.

yeah, and when they do it in court it's a crime.
they had access to the funds. period. whether donated, under the mattress or in his brother's panties.

Dick, he and his wife both were under oath when they certified they were indigent! that's PERJURY. the court may just decide to charge the wife with perjury. O'Mara wants another bond hearing where Z and his wife both appear and 'splain themselves.
and the judge already said that O'Mara was duped. he did not knowingly mislead the court.

He said he was indigent and that's why his finances came into question? Is his atty court appointed?

You know, I think Z is an idiot, but black people carry on like a hive. They want to be treated as one group when it comes to special favors doled out by corrupt politicians such as affirmative action. They voted for the Manchurian candidate in a block, they speak of themselves as a distinct group, but they sure don't want black youth all seen as one (a thug population) do they? That's their argument against profiling. They're a monolithic group when it suits them but they want to be seen as individuals in a case like Treyvon's.

Judge Lester said he was surprised she has not been charged for lying to the court under oath. uh oh -- i'd be sweating that!

Hmmmm, I want to see the evidence but I don't want the prosecution's case harmed by its release. Interesting.

Yeah, God forbid any evidence of the truth hamper the prosecution of the child stalker.

Think about why you would want to know what really happened but why you wouldn't want the jury to know...

nope.
so it's 0841 now.

Time is ticking for George Zimmerman as he is ordered back to jail by this afternoon, but he has not arrived at the Seminole County jail just yet.

edit to add:
news13
George Zimmerman's attorney says he is back in Central Florida, but has yet to turn himself in at the Seminole County Jail.

According to a press release, Zimmerman returned to Sanford late Saturday night. Zimmerman has coordinated with the Sanford Police Department to ensure Zimmerman's security when he turns himself in before Sunday's 2:30 p.m. deadline.

That's kind of stupid. When there is a jury, of course I would expect them to hear all of the evidence. That's different than continuing to try the case in the media/public spotlight.

i think an unmarked picked him up, probably at his lawyer's office, and of course had to cuff him to transport him.

i'll get new booking photo when it's available.

Sanford, Florida (CNN) -- George Zimmerman was booked into jail Sunday after surrendering to authorities before an afternoon deadline, the Seminole County sheriff said.

Zimmerman met two members of the sheriff's office in a business parking lot about 1:25 p.m. Sunday and was taken into custody, Sheriff Donald Eslinger told reporters.

Zimmerman was required to return to central Florida and turn himself in after a judge revoked his bail Friday, saying Zimmerman misled the court about his finances.

also from the link...

He said Zimmerman was worried about coming out of hiding, "but I think he also realizes the judge's concerns."

O'Mara said he will be filing a motion Monday asking Lester for a new bond hearing to revisit Zimmerman's status and allow the defense to "explain why what happened seems to have happened."
